Shame, he would have fit nicely with his LD/RD versatility |

We would get a pick at the end of the 2nd rnd if he's not traded because he was a 1st - Buff36
True. And we had sabotka for a season and berglund for a few weeks. That was fun |

I really was wanting him to sign. When Portillo walks with him next summer. That will be three players that just walked on us in recent years. And then there was the one we walked on for what ever reason we did. |

A late 2nd 6 years after the trade. Exciting.

It sucks because he actually turned into a very good D man |

Obvious the perspective outside the Organization hasn't changed yet. |

Yeah really would have helped the depth and probably would have been ready to go by TDL to get some NHL games. |

I was actually surprised Adams got that many ELC'S signed this year, even though a bunch won't be here yet which sucks cause of there league rules. Adams job gets tougher now. It's time to fit these puzzle pieces together. Very young hockey team that has a lot of young players coming behind them, decisions have to be made sooner than later. |

Feels like we're going to need to move a F for a D at some point in the next year or two.

Adams and Co could probably go 90% D next draft if they wanted. Can Adams make that call though, has a tendency to wait a little to long. |

think he waited too long on that, 2nd round D take a lot of time
Hope Leinonen works out, but that's a reach they will likely regret

Thinking more and more about what this team looks like in 24/25, when Levi, Rosen, Savoie, Ostlund, and Kulich are pushing for roster spots. Lot of competition, but they really need a couple guys to develop into top line players to go anywhere. |

Levi and Rosen pushing for roster spots after this season seems aggressive with it being their first season.
Same for Ostlund.
Hell, maybe for all of them. |

Agree, gonna be interesting to see how fast Adams and Co. can evaluate these young kids. Have a lot of young kids here right know that are still developing and still will be when that group above starts pushing. |

Right, but they signed enough players that one of them would be stuck on the 4th line, which I doubt they want. - Michael Ghofrani
Krebs has an all around better skill set and vision at center than cozens. If you don't see Krebs at center, I don't see cozens there either. |

Krebs definitely is the more talented player. 100% agree.
Cozens can still be a center but it will never be a 1C. He’s a 2C which is completely fine. That doesn’t mean he’s a bust. |

This has been brought up before and while I don't dispute his skill set, I don't see why he wouldn't be able to use that skill at wing.
My reasons for not wanting Krebs at centre is that for the moment, he looks totally lost without the puck. Every line he's played on gets caved in defensively. He's 21, so this could change as soon as this year, but for now I need him to put together 10 games of not getting crushed at 5v5 before I could entertain the idea that he's a full time centre. |

In fairness, that describes at least half their forwards last year. It's a real problem.
