What a glorious morning in the United states of America 🙂

Nice write up hank, completely disagree though ☝️

Would a 4 year deal block levi and eric from signing?

2 year deal, signed prior to camp. What other options does upl have?
Could there be some hard feelings about signing 2 nhl goalies ahead of him on the depth chart? Maybe?

His options are 1 year or 2 year, with a bit of a fight over his AHL salary. He definitely has reason to be upset with the team atm.

Very happy to share that I will be contributing to NHL content and coverage with Turner Media at @BleacherReport this year.

That's strange, I've recently been informed of a 4 year deal buy low deal?

Upl should be mad at his groin, knee, hips and everything else that hasnt allowed him to compete regularly.

The Sabres need to protect themselves against injury concerns.

With a 41 year old injury prone goalie? UPL has every right to feel like he's being treated poorly, as you pointed out.

Upl might feel like he's being treated poorly, not sure if I feel like the Sabres are treating him poorly though.

Guy can't stay healthy.

Anderson regardless of age, earned his contract.

That's his #1 spot, and comrie's signing shouldn't scare a top prospect .

I think we can agree on the non 4 year deal though 🤝

Comrie- 40gms
Anderson- 20gms
UPL- 22gms
Asking a lot of Comrie to go from 19gms started to 40gms and hopefully keep his numbers in the ballpark from last year. Adams is betting alot on the possibilities of Comrie and the future of Levi.

Andeson's play last season earned nothing.

Despite his horrible % he was the only goalie on our team with a winning record. By a mile.

We played better when he played and that's just facts. Experience and leadership really do matter.

He was healthy when they were playing their best hockey, and hurt when they were playing their worst. You're assuming causation where there may not be any.

Coincidence?

They played some great hockey while he was injured. Losing games 6-5 and 5-4. Which they had no business losing.

He was clearly a big voice in that room. And more apparent when he actually dressed.

They finished 21st in the league in scoring, with a strong finish. They were far worse before Anderson returned.

They didn't lose a game all season when they scored 5+.

I thought Anderson was 6 games over fake .500 last season?

For the 9th worst team in the league .🤔

If an average goalie played those same games, they would have been better.

They made it a long, mostly boring off-season for sure.

TSN will rank goalies soon. Expecting a bad score there, maybe I'll be wrong.

If the Sabres were doing anything other than development right now, Craig Anderson would not be here.

I get caught up in the leadership, good guy story lines....

Anderson seems like an ideal older player/ coach for the younger guys.

Comrie has an interesting intangible to me as well.

I think upl breaks thru this season and proves his spot.

Disagree.
How exactly has he earned a spot on the big club?
He has played a grand total of 60 games in the AHL resulting in a less than stellar .900 SV%, and 13 NHL games with a .913 SV%.

He isn't owed a dang thing, except 50 games in the A go prove he can produce at .925+ SV%
He has zippo reason to think he is being screwed.

He was their best goalie last year and earned another recall. Easy to see his side.

He's the perfect guy to cheekily hand UPL 20+ games at the NHL level this season (due to inevitable injury) while playing a respectable brand of hockey in his own starts (probably around 20 games for Andy).

It works out well for the Sabres to find out what UPL can do

Michael houser doesn’t approve this message. His nhl record and save percentage are actually the top for Sabres goalies the last two seasons. But it’s only 6 games. And he got lit up in one of them.

The curious case of UPL. Lots of hype around him hasn’t played well in Rochester. I felt he was meh in the international tournaments at time although lots of people said he was good. He played fairly well in Buffalo. Can’t stay healthy. Also all of his injuries have been things that have ruined decent goalies careers (deipetro and Corey Schneider)
