Easy to kick a dog when he's down lol he playes the game the right way imo. Hasn't have much luck lately. If you're not healthy you can't be on the ice.

Eh, he's a 3rd wheel player. Benefitted heavily from playing with guys like Koivu and Granlund, and Nino to a lesser extent. He works hard, I'll give him that but at 5.5m, his cap hit is about 2.5 mil to high.

Thing is E rod isn’t even worth the trouble of clearing cap space for unless he’s going to play 1st power play. He’s not going to play over Rust there(even though he should). So there’s the long and short of that. The fixation of small uninteresting players who suck 5-5 is astonishing around here.

I hope the bottom 6 can be good enough.
- 668710

The problem with the pens bottom 6 is more Sullivan than the actual bottom 6. He probably shows them video of Crosby and Getz and tells them to do that. Instead of trapping the other teams better lines and giving Crosby and Gentz better matchups.

29 of his 43 points came at 5v5, 35 of his 43 were even strength, so you're wrong. Your bad takes are astonishing, but not really.

hahaha

My only knock on ERod last season is he seemed to be sh!t in bottom 6 and solid in top 6 for whatever reason(s). Totally different looking player.

Our third line would be better off being a scoring line with Carter centering it. Let Blues line handle the defense.

Yeah, to my eyes he had confidence and swagger in top 6, wasn't afraid to be aggressive and try things/be a bit creative...in the bottom 6 not so much haha

MacKinnon wants $13M in his next deal. That should give Ronny H plenty of time to clear the space.

How many of them came when playing with the Crosby line? How many of those even strength points were 5-5 goals? You looking at numbers with zero compression is astonishing. He sucks away from a generational center which he’s not going to play with.

Rod actually played one of his best games that I was at and he was centering the 2nd line while Geno was out. If paid correctly Rod would be nice to have. Can't overpay for him either. Just like how we got Heinen again cheap, he can put the puck in the net and we got him for a mil, easy decision. We definitely overpaid for Kap, and now have to hope he scores a bunch this year.

Ahhhh trying to shift lanes now eh? Nice try there old buddy, make a fool out of yourself and try to bounce back with some more ignorance.

Hilarious though because he only had 7 points playing with Sid, and 1 with Geno. Soooooo... you're wrong again.

Astonishing.

13 points with Kap
9 with Heinen
8 with Zucker
7 with Sid
6 with Guentzel
4 with Carter

Dude just doesn't understand hockey, or what he thinks he sees, but he's shown that time and time again.

He’s not worth over Brian Boyle money. None of those guys should have came back. Kap, Erod, McGinn, Zucker. Heinen is ok for a Mil but I could see him scoring 7 goals this year.

With the exception of 20/21 when he only played 43 games, he's scored more than 7 goals in every full year. At 27 years old, I don't see why 7 goals would be his upper limit. I think 9-12 is reasonable.

Am I though? I don’t even know where to look those stats up, yet I still think he sucks, or at least is just a vanilla generic “middle six” winger. I guess I’ll just let 30 NHL GM’s and their scouting staffs agree with me. You can let the penguins stats crowd agree with you. I wonder which knows more about hockey?

He averages 14 goals/82GP. Given that he averages 58 games per season (even including 8-game tryout in 16/17 and the games lost to Covid), that still averages to 10 goals per 58 games. Take the 8 game tryout away and that average goes to 11.6 goals per 58 games.

Is he a superstar/top-line winger? No. Is he a middle six who can give you 9-12 goals? Yes.

He probably was asking for way too much money and now that only like 4 teams have space and they suck he's stuck.

Yeah there's only like 14 teams with over a mill cap space currently haha...obviously some teams will do LTIR and send players down but there's still not much cap space on the go. Of the teams that have over a mill cap space though you have the likes of Colorado and the Islanders, one of which I really think will sign ERord, and you also have Nashville, Calgary, LA and Minnesota with over 2 mill cap space...so I do think there are quality options for some guys like ERod left....but I really do think he will end up an Av or Isle.

It's cool, you flip flop more than a fish out of water when you're wrong.

When you're proven wrong, you just try to move on to other BS. It's pretty comical.
