You think they would pay him more than McJesus?
- stevens87

If they can they will. I heard him in the past say he wants to stay with Colorado and he was willing to take a discount to do so. I am sure this is his agent getting out there and making it clear he needs to get paid... because he does deserve it.

But hell, Hextall should absolutely be putting together a strategy to be able to make him the best offer on the market. Dumo gone and replaced internally and letting Zucker walk gets you 2/3 of the way there.

Absolutely no idea how you get the rest of the way there though.

Yeah there's only like 14 teams with over a mill cap space currently haha...obviously some teams will do LTIR and send players down but there's still not much cap space on the go. Of the teams that have over a mill cap space though you have the likes of Colorado and the Islanders, one of which I really think will sign ERord, and you also have Nashville, Calgary, LA and Minnesota with over 2 mill cap space...so I do think there are quality options for some guys like ERod left....but I really do think he will end up an Av or Isle.
- MattStrat

Yea I think the AVS would take him if they don't get Kadri.

I tampered my expectations when i figured out MacKinnon's childhood team was Colorado. He really has no reason to leave Colorado. I had hoped he wanted to play with Sid, but I think its pretty likely he resigns in Colorado. Him and Crosby on the same line would've been fun.

Hopefully for the 2026 Olympics.

Lou has to move salary though, heard it may be Bailey he's trying to move. I'd be happy again because he's another who scores on us a bunch lol

Sid might not make the team haha. And if he does will he be good enough to play with MacKinnon at that point.

Wonder how that Lawson crouse contract will age. Thought he would be a great compliment to Blueger on the 4th line. Although maybe now that he makes 4m Pitt will trade for him.

I don't watch them at all so I have no clue. He seems like a solid third line scorer, but they gave him 4 mil?!

When you look at the free agents remaining you see why so many young AHL guys get passed by. Tough to get a spot in the NHL these days.

Thing is E rod isn’t even worth the trouble of clearing cap space for unless he’s going to play 1st power play. He’s not going to play over Rust there(even though he should). So there’s the long and short of that. The fixation of small uninteresting players who suck 5-5 is astonishing around here.

Aside from all your statistical analysis being wrong, having a guy in your bottom 6 that can fill in at all 3 positions is useful. Especially at C where the top 3 guys are all over 35. That's where ERod actually shined. This year guess either Blueger or Poehling has to step up

Blueger has already stepped up. Last season 205 centers played 40 games or more. Points per 60 at 5v5 Blueger ranked #80, Carter #104.

Side note: Blueger .576, EGod .607.

I have no idea what it going to take for Sullivan to see what he has in this guy.

Apparently Blue was involved in a trade but obviously didn't happen. So my guess, unfortunately, would be never.

Why EGod? no one around here considers him THAT good.

Out of those 205 centers where did Sid & Geno rank?

If it's the same list I'm thinking of Sid was 5 and Geno was 16 or 17

Edit: Nevermind the list I'm thinking of was only 100 centers.

Also really hopeful that Geno will get more assists having either Rakell or Rust on his line.

He should. He was generating HD shot assists at his usual rate, but his linemates couldn't finish for poop. Having guys who can bury the biscuit should net him some more apples.

He hasn't been bad overall, I think Burkie helps push him to add at the deadline. Seems Hexy wouldn't do that with Philly and probably wouldn't have done it here either. Burke definitely helps that end.
