He hasn't been bad overall, I think Burkie helps push him to add at the deadline. Seems Hexy wouldn't do that with Philly and probably wouldn't have done it here either. Burke definitely helps that end.

Yeah, at least the Pens were smart enough to bring in Burke to babysit Hextall. Give em credit for that.

Wonder how that Lawson crouse contract will age. Thought he would be a great compliment to Blueger on the 4th line. Although maybe now that he makes 4m Pitt will trade for him.

Crouse is a guy that would be a great compliment to a talented winger/center combo. If you put him with Geno and Rackell or Sid and Jake he would not only score at a top 6 rate but I think he would also be a positive impact on their output.

He is a power forward who will hit, make space for talented players and can still finish. He was my top choice for a guy to play with Geno and Rackell. I think he would complete that line perfectly.

How did he screw up the Flyers?

He screwed them by leaving them in no man's land. He did a half ass rebuild while trying to keep the NHL team competitive on the ice. The old mediocre in the middle, but not bad enough to get real high draft picks, and when the Flyers lucked into the 2nd overall pick he drafted a slug named Nolan Patrick when many of the Flyers scouts wanted to draft one of the highly touted defensemen.
