You seem to be ignoring one very crucial fact. That being that Beauvillier is likely the only “expendable” Islander forward that any other team will actually have interest in trading for.

The vast majority of us don’t include him in trade ideas because we think he sucks. We include him because we recognize his value, while also recognizing that other teams have (almost certainly) zero (frank)ing interest in Bailey or Palmieri.

not sure what you think Expendable means but there are a lot of guys on this team and in the minors that are tradeable pieces that I would move before a 25 year old 20 goal wing who flies around the ice every shift and actually goes into the corners to get the puck.

By expendable, I mean that he’s (arguably) the only Islander forward that’s both attractive to other teams, AND somewhat replaceable with in house options.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d much rather keep him. But if Lou has his sausage set on Kadri, then someone is gonna have to go. And much as I hope I’m wrong, I don’t think he’s gonna be able to unload Chains or Palmolive.
