So funny that Leafs fans are always so clueless. Live and breathe hockey and yet are almost to close to it that they can’t see the forest, because of the trees.

Here’s the reality: Chychrun play and contract is reasonably worth one high end first round pick or prospect, two mid tier first rounders/prospects and something like a second round pick.

AZ would NEVER ice Nylander because they are trying to tank. So it’s an obvious three way trade.

Nylander is a winger playing with some of the best players in the league…he’s not as valuable as leafs fans think. He’s probably worth 2 mid round first picks, or 1 high pick and 2nd rounder.

So reasonably: Nylander nets a high first rounder and a second rounder. Maple leafs include their first round pick, And Knies.

Total net to Coyotes is top 10 pick, Knies, late first round pick and an early second round pick.

Toronto will be better for it and Coyotes get what they want.

If you think NYLANDER only produces because he "plays with some of the best players in the league" you must not have watched a sigle game...he only skates on the 2nd line and gets the least amount of minutes out of the top 6 skaters. ...once again a guy talkin leafs that has never watched leafs

And Matthews would then be Nylander's teammate again in two years.

Lol hilarious. People making Chychrun out to be the next Nik Lidstrom.....he isnt getting a return of nylander straight up let alone added assets....not gonna happen

given contracts, straight up probably isn't too bad. Nylander the better player, Chychrun the more valuable position. Nylander signed 2 more years, Chychrun 3 more.

More importantly, Leafs need a dman like Chychrun. So paying a small premium isn't a silly suggestion. Just not the premiums some here like to think.

blah blah blah.

If Arizona were a decent organization, I can see it as possible. But elite players like Matthews don't jump ship to go to train wrecks like Arizon.

It's funny, Leafs fans got mocked for years for claiming "x player may want to come home to play for the Leafs", as other fans suggested they're idiots, nobody wants to player for a team at the bottom of the standings like the Leafs. Now the same morons are suggesting an elite player like Matthews would want to go play for Arizona.

Pure stupidity from some people (like you). Especially when you consider that the other player you mention grew up in Toronto. Chychrun coming to Toronto to play with Matthews in 3 years is way more realistic.

We can't all be as hockey knowledgable as the puck gurus of Phoenix Arizona. LOL

I do'nt see the Leafs dealing Knies for Chychrun. He's in way too high demand.

It wasn't a GM, but ANOTHER GM. So multiple GMs have confided to Ek that the Leafs are looking to trade for Chychrun. Pretty amazing stuff.

Dude.. Did you honestly just write that.. Nylander, a first and two prospects? Are you crazy? A guy that has the potential to hit 100 points, who's just about to enter his prime.. That alone is worth more than Chynchuren. A guy who's never once played over 70 games in the league...

Whatever the deal, gotta have Crouse coming back with JC. Something like..

To TOR:
D Chychrun
LW Crouse
D Maveric Lamoreaux

To ARI
D R. Sandin
D T. Liljegren
LW N. Robertson
C/LW M. Knies
C A. Steeves
2023 1st
Conditional 2025 1st (if Toronto makes a SCF in 2023 or 2024, ARI gets the 2025 1st, if not, no pick value remits).
