Are you angry because the Blackhawks kept their nams, Iknow its hard when you got held back in high school but the blackhawks are slighltly different. It is really hard but you too can do better - LordHumungous
Thoughts on the recent JTM podcast interview. Best part of this interview was insights to Podkolzin and Petey. That could be a top line for Canucks with JTM. Trade BB for a young RHD and picks from the Stars and sign JTM long term with the cap space.

JTM and BB will be here at seasons start. All good man.

Most likely. However, someone’s got to go before TDL. There isn’t enough cap space to keep this roster in tack.
It’s easier for the Canucks to replace BB then JTM. Wild need a new poster boy from the hometown. They are likely to overpay. They have tons of defensive prospects.

Many ways to create cap space by TDL. Garland Hogs Pearson Myers D!ckenson could all be gone and the team would not likely skip a beat. Would like to see Garland stay however 60 point guy.

It seems they have enough checking cap friendly. What am I missing? - Quinn's Quest
Next few seasons. They are on the hook for between $12-$14 million in buyouts the next 2 or 3 seasons. They may have space this season but not after that.

Well moving those contracts seems a lot harder. Garland is easiest to do but it’s all about need and market.
Garland doesn’t have the marketable factors for an overpay like BB would with the Wild.
But yeah there are other ways to create cap space. I just think BB is more feasible and would fetch the better return.

It would cost the Canucks to move Knobinson or Myers. Pearson nor Hogs would fetch much. Garland may get a decent return from a GM with a halfling fetish.

As we’ve seen already this off season, value for wingers is highly erratic. Doubt you get much more than a b prospect or a mid pick for Boeser at this point.

Right those buyouts are cap killers.
Though I guess if they don’t sign UFA’s like Dumba etc they can fill with prospects if they value what BB brings.
IDK the cap is a bloody mess for both teams. Hard decisions have to be made.

Agreed. Why I believe management must shed a core player for cap reasons.

Yes it can be tough given the flat cap. Why I suggested the Wild might overpay for BB given his attributes for their market.
Business decisions can sometimes influence hockey operations. How many times have we seen that on the Canucks lol.
