KD will trade the #1 overall pick for the #4 overall pick and #224 overall. 2 for 1, that’s some excellent asset management. - DarthKane
He'll get at least a 3rd with #4. |

Sooner or later Kane appears to be gone. The best player then could very well be their #1 2023. Trading down their early first - if KD does so, they better be getting one heck of a great deal. Bedard as your franchise best player?.
Sure seems likely would want and need to add a center..Let's see where we draft before even considering a trade. A forward might be the best player available and I don't really believe moving down a couple spots is worth it. But we just have to see who is rated where and what is our draft number
I know some are just being sarcastic

I second that remark.
I can't wait until this board explodes (whoever becomes the blogger) when Strome puts up 60 points, and Dach puts up 50 this year.

Where are they going to put up those numbers, in the "A"?

I know you are joking, but Strome will have the talent around him in WSH to put up numbers (especially with Backstrom out likely for the year). Dach? Who knows. He technically still needs to be signed I believe, but MTL has a number of players that have the ability to put up points (Hoffman, Caufield, Suzuki, Slafkovsky - in theory, Anderson, Dadonov, Drouin, Monohan). I think it will come down to how they use him and who he actually gets to play with.
With Price likely done, they certainly could be chasing in a lot of games and he could get some junk time points as well. |

It will be interesting to find out what a "Rentakane" is worth? Judging by Dinky being unsigned not as much as we think?

I would think at least as good, if not better than what Giroux returned last year. |

It's pretty crazy to see the state of the Hawks Cap Hit up front. All of our forwards making more than 925K are UFA within the next two seasons. If the Hawks don't keep Kane/Toews and move on from Athanasiou/Domi, then going into next year right now it's the top paid forward Core of Johnson (5M), Colin Blackwell (1.2M) and Sam Lafferty (1.15M). The future is a pretty clean slate right now. |

I didn't get to see the game, but I've read a few reports that Victor Stjernborg was a big part of Sweden's win against Latvia, despite not getting on the scoreboard. Very solid defensively and doesn't make mistakes. |

Hopefully at the deadline the Hawks could get 5th rounders for them (Toews a third.) My guess as any part of a Kane TDL deal, a bad contract will be included.

Khaira should get a late pick at the deadline as well.
They already have 9 picks in each of the next two drafts, might even start taking some 2025 picks just to even out the pipeline flow a little bit. |

If healthy, I think Toews will be able to get to the 55 point range. |

OMG I remember hearing the old Cleveland Barons in the WHA on 3WE radio
I challenge anyone to name five underage junior players, most played on or each played on Birmingham WHA if I recall correctly.
Each went on to a productive NHL career
I'll give you one answer,: K Linesman. At leat two dmen among the answer |
