Not just the Beach incident. The Hawks are a bad team and a total clown town operation. No one will ever sign with them again.

Thats possible, but even if FL retaines 50% of his salary, that’s still about $5M in AAV, maybe another team retains another chunk, who knows. That Vegas team is in trouble, up against the cap and players getting older and having injury issues. They made a deal with the devil and now it’s time to pay up.

They already have Shea Weber and his $7 miilion+ on LTIR. Add Nolan Patrick and Robin "Not My Fault" Lehner, and one or two others and it would work.

But, I agree the luster of The Golden Knights is getting a bit tarnished. Plus they wear those ugly white gloves and shiny helmets some times.

Yeah, they aren't in the best position. Even with all the LTIR, they still need another goalie signed, and four skaters. (they have 11F's and 6 D on the roster at this point, as I'm not sure if Patrick will even play again).

they have Thompson who played pretty well for them at the end of the season, and the ever present Michael Hutchison who seems to hang on to teams that have goalies with injury problems.

I always love when people say a guy was a "sneaky good" acquisition until they play it out a couple of years and they fade away into the abyss.

I know there are examples of guys who buck that trend, but I just love it when I get to crap on someone's hope. I'm kind of like the Grinch, but less green.
