I am not sure of the economics of Blogging. But could it be divided among 3 writers. One for Pregame and Postgame reports. One for reporting on non game issues. One for covering the Hogs and prospects. Wiz? LAHawk?

It's likely more an issue of time and commitment. I'm not all that well versed either, but from what I understand no one is living off of writing for Hockeybuzz.

Heck, if I wasn't going to be overseas for the next year I'd give it a shot, but no one wants to hear me blather on about short contracts and waffle about whether or not a draft pick should be given a chance in the NHL...

Rare to see multiple HockeyBuzz bloggers writing for the same team. In fact the opposite is true here - one writer covers multiple teams.

Other hockey blog sites (Bleacher Nation, Second City Hockey) have two or more people covering the team.

With that said, I guess someone here who has interest in writing this blog would have to contact Ek for the details on contributing to the site.

The Buffalo blog had no writers for a while until Ek put a call out for guest bloggers. One of those was eventually given the job.

Change of scenery trade idea (main pieces)

Beaudin and Kravstov

I think the Rangers are not gonna give this kid a chance. Size, speed, skill

Seems to fit the advertised style of play over Beaudin

Oh and Kadri signed with the Flames. I mention that since it could affect the Hawks. Do they take a cap dump? Do the Avs inquire about Toews @50%?

Trade hasn't been announced but Montreal supposedly getting a high pick to take on Monahans full cap hit.

Back to Beaudin. Yes Bergevin supposedly wanted him, but Montreal only has 6 defensemen on their roster. Maybe they have someone in the minors, but Beaudin going back to Quebec may work to his advantage. Don't know what the return would be, maybe a mid round 2023 pick?

I just took a look at DET's roster. When the Hawks had both, who would have ever thought that Suter would have a higher AAV than Kubalik?

I honestly forgot about Suter, thought he did an admirable job when Toews was gone. Just a solid two way player who seemed a bit above average at most things. Was sad to see him go.

Pretty much agree. He's basically a half point per game player and can play a decent two way game. Unfortunately, he seems like a guy you like to have around until you can find something better.

Cryptic (as they too often, too cutesy-by-half try to be), but Hawks Instagram post has some open to interpretation arrows on a post with solely pics of 19 & 88

Moving them out? Extending them? Nothing burger?

So Nashville gets the 2023 draft, can’t think of a better place for the Hawks to draft Bedard.

I thought it was determined that Pittsburgh is getting the #1 choice this year

I’ll go with Pitt, it’s about time Bettman gets them Crosby’s replacement.

KD will trade the #1 overall pick for the #4 overall pick and #224 overall. 2 for 1, that’s some excellent asset management.

It’s a conditional 1st round pick in 2025.
