are people still obsessed with getting the most recent iPhone model as soon as it comes out? there probably isn't a very huge difference anymore between each iteration.

I can't say it's an iPhone thing anymore. There seems yo be a sect of people who "upgrade" every year, regardless of brand. Sometimes twice |

holy (frank), what's the point lol... personally I hate the process of switching from one phone to another, it always takes forever to transfer everything and configure it to my liking. I know there are pretty good apps now that can help quite a bit with that, but still, I find it's a pain in the ass. |

It's such a process too. Then you figure out that there are removed features that you really liked.
I just think it's the need to always have the newest and best thing |

yeah, I guess there's nothing wrong with wanting to have the latest device available if that makes you happy, I just find there's no real point to it since the upgrades aren't usually that significant. some people probably geek out and actually enjoy all that time spent configuring their brand new tech toy and playing around with the settings.

Oh I agree with the geek factor.
It's the same in so many industries now. Like hockey equipment. Earlier this week I was at a Midget AAA scrimmage and all these kids had the newest most pricey stuff. Nothing like someone twirling around with a $440 stick (before taxes) and they may still get cut. Like the one you had 2 weeks ago was no longer modern? |

jfc. how come hockey sticks are so damn expensive anyway, are they made with ultra rare materials, or is it because fabricating them is a very long and tedious process? it's insane.

What the companies say: the r&d and cost of materials to bring you the best technology to boost your game has gone up.
The truth: they got people to buy them at $200, then get kept upping the prices to see what people would pay. Now we are here: https://hockeysupremacy.c.../collections/stick-senior |

wow. one day the technology will become too powerful, and a goaltender will get killed by a slapshot.
gotta love all these different names they're using to sell that poop. jetspeed, catalyst, nexus, vapor, ultrasonic... you know you're purchasing state-of-the-art equipment with this kind of labelling.
