I travel quite a bit for work, I always pack a Bills Polo and Sabres polo.
The reactions are very different. - ImThatGuy
Of course.
Wear a Avalanch or Lightning Polo vs KC Chiefs Polo...Very different reaction.

BTW, this Sarasota / Bradenton Fl area is friggin awesome. Absolutely zero doubt about it.
Cool being from Buffalo as there is a Huge former Buffalonian base down here...Bill's Country is real here.
Was in two client sales meeting today, former Buffalonians...we hit it off in both meetings, positive vibes emminated... closed both to decent sized deals.
I think they could put another NHL franchise down here someday in the future, south a bit between Ft Meyers and here and have a pretty good following with the right owner willing to invest in harvesting the large NE and Canadian transplants.
Just need more time to drive more people here...it is working like a charm, freaking people running down here they can't build fast enough. |

Yet somehow the Buffalo Bills have been able to attract top free agents and talent.
Must be different cities.....
Thanks for playing.

The Bills are a perennial playoff team
The Sabres are still digging out of the GMTM hole
It’s a p!ss poor comparison
This is obvious

NHL expansion teams need to win year after year in the South in order to build the long term interest it takes for success
Lots of people doesn’t mean a new franchise will survive, see Atlanta (twice) or Arizona for examples |

Or maybe, just maybe they drafted a unicorn, had a WR seek them out for a trade that set the stage for others wanting to be here.
Beaner has done an incredible job in getting guys to sign here as well.
AND, the most important thing...the NFL is So much different to turn a franchise around quickly with the way their contracts and Cap rules work.

The point is it's not the city, but the buffoon(s) running the team |

Replacing Adams with whoever at GM isn’t gonna make UFAs start lining up to come here
And the city does play a big role
Being a Super Bowl Contender mitigates that,
but no GM is gonna come in here & turn us into Cup Contenders overnight
Adams is not doing a bad job
He’s actually got us turned around & heading in the right direction
The Sabres will become successful by building through the draft- and by all accounts, Adams has had great drafts
But there’s only 1 draft a year
It takes time to overcome mistakes of past GMs |

They had the 2nd overall pick 8 goddamn years ago, FFS, and then again the next year, and then 1OA 4 years ago. And where are they? Nowhere. And two of those guys are out of town because of the rank incompetence by the buffoons running the team. |

The Sabres found a way while every team was struggling with cap to not be able to utilize it.
its astonishing really.
Players would rather go to Arizona and Montreal, than Buffalo. - ImThatGuy
So I would not have hated the Monahan trade to Sabres, maybe it sets a value for cap space. Maybe a deal is still there for us. They seem to draft really well, so another first is worth trading but also drafting. Keep stocking the prospects on close to or on entry level deals. Love it. |

Skinner is obviously overpaid , but the contract is already signed.
Jeffry could and should put up 150 goals over the next 5 seasons of his deal.
Probably a 6.5/7 million $ guy, but his game should still be effective for the reminder of his contract IMO |

Idk, too close to Tampa, the Bolts would never approve. South of Ft Meyers starts to become Panthers territory, I’m sure they would also try to squash any talk of a team in that area. A third team in FL would most likely be near Homie’s area, up in Freakville. |

If Covid didn’t happen and the salary cap went up as “planned” ….. skinners contract would be fine.
Due to Covid. The salary cap stayed the same. That hurt the way you look at his deal.
The flyers and Hayes got screwed the same way. Gave out a crazy deal and then bam salary cap remained the same and Covid came and froze the cap.
So skinner overpaid by 2-3 mill is fine for the time being
Who else are we really signing with that 2-3 mil? |
