So, I was living in NYC when Boyes was acquired from the Blues. The Sabres had done one of those road party things so I sat at the bar with Darcy, Rick, Terry and Lindy. Terry and Darcy were pretty happy about it. You could tell Darcy was thrilled to be able to use cap space. Lindy (and I've met Lindy as he has some family ties) was a little more frank with me. "Eh, hopefully he helps". He said a few more things that brought my opinion of Boyes the player down and sure as poop.. he was right.

This was also the first time I met Terry. He's definitely a bit awkward but a genuinely nice guy. It didn't take long to realize why he rarely spoke publicly, as you are all well aware. The Pegulas are gaffe machines, and they know it.
