Disappointing to take Rosen over Cossa or Wallstedt
- sabresfan69

Cossa rode pine the entire WJC for Garand who didn’t really particularly impress me at all.

He’s had his own fall from grace since he was drafted.

With Yzerman drafting all of Sweden I’m still baffled to this day he took Cossa> Wallstedt

rosen will be good.

He skates well and has a good shot, but there is a lot of work that needs to be done there by the development team on many aspects of his game with and without the puck forsure

A couple years in the A could be good for him...gonna get physically abused anyway, might as well go to the net where rewards and money are.

Would be interesting to see where he ranks in the Sabres prospect pipeline let alone that draft class, the pick was and remains a stretch.

Edit: this is an interesting article:

If you're betting on skill he's exceptionally high end. Problem is that he's still frail.

Old article, think he's dropped a bit, but most think very highly of him if he can put on some weight.

Which that pipeline is flush with, voids in power forwards and right defense. I have never questioned his skill, I think 14 was high for him while adding to strength in the system vs address a weakness.

I stopped paying for that site, so I can’t even read it. Better info/entertainment in this comment section than anything on that site for me.

Take a stroll down memory lane. Prospects remain a tough business.

Haack gone, the Punt God it is and Austin released. Think Hodgins takes that last WR roster spot.

Several good reads, thanks for posting.
Going to be interesting to see what they do with all these guys in the pipeline. After the FO figures out who stays / goes from this roster it will be time to make a solid trade or two.

Edit: I hope a couple of the older guys are dealt at the TDL after having a decent season..

Maybe they could get that coveted 6th rounder

It's amazing how many actually have a chance at earning ELC's, they are pretty solid other than D throughout the Organization.

Howard Simon is only working 3 days a week now. Too bad, he's my favorite host on GR

I am hoping a couple young guys force there hand and Girgensons is in the press box. There's enough talent there to roll 3 solid lines if a couple youngins step up. I know he brings "Leadership" but they have played a lot of hockey without him the last few years, they can survive without him.

Used to watch his show on Empire doing my statistics homework as a freshman in college. He's always been the sane one mostly without hot takes. Can't believe he's lasted this long in that industry
