That's a very good point.

Seems very obvious okposo will be captain.

From a team perspective:
You want someone everyone respects (players /management/ownership)

But as long as whomever they pick , fits the profile.

The difference between off ice leadership / between tuch and okposo probably isnt that huge of a deal. I think okposo would feel disrespected and maybe some of his teammates as well ( for kyle) .

As early as this season peterka is gonna match the on ice contributions IMO.

I cant make to see him be a permanent sabre.

Yeah, a lot of teams just hand the captaincy to their best player no matter if they're qualified or not, but it doesnt have to be that way. Gilbert Perreault didn't want to be captain which was fine.
