Yeah but when you have the two best players in the league on the same team...it helps. - LordHumungous
This has been the story for five years dude. They didn’t get better than this and they lost, sorry homie Mackinnon will shut him down again next year. Better defensively. Sakic was smart enough to build from the back end out. Mack over Mc as I’ve said and been shot down for. Maybe less now. |

I know some of you don't want to hear this, but the Flames are a legit Cup contender.
Solid defense, maybe the best in the league, solid forward group, and goaltending is at least just above average. - Reubenkincade
Not sure I’d agree that they are a cup contender, but they did a masterful job turning a disastrous summer into something positive. Great job by management. I doubt any Canuck management regime (past or present) could achieve the same. Hell, the Canucks are still recovering from the Kesler situation. |

Sadly they are. Built from the back end out unlike any Canuck team ever . I hope they have terrible chemistry issues but on paper they are pretty legit. I would really love it if Monahan killed it after giving him away |

Does Kadri signing 7x7 show Miller that he needs to bring down his demands? Do other teams have a better gauge at what it would take to sign him, and feel more comfortable trading for him with that knowledge? |

Bit of a garbage game, but I do suggest czechia getting the fourth goal back breaker. Reminded of the Americans crying at the 2010 olympics, love it. Do I like children crying? I have decided yes. Yes I do. |

Not that i know what JTM is asking for, but JTM > Kadri imo.
If Kadri got 7x7, JTM is easily 7 x 8m +

It'll be interesting to see how the new guys gel under Sutter |

Ya, but the rumors/talking points that Kardi was asking for 8+ and got 7, maybe it shows teams that JTM asking for 9+ is actually going to come in at 8.
Really just trying to optimize this JTM return here |

I not convinced that JTM is better than Kadri. IMO, almost the same regular season production. Kadri with better playoff numbers. Kadri has that dirty player rep but I don’t care about that. Some of my favourite Canucks have been considered “dirty”. He plays hard and wants to win at all costs. Could use a bit of that on the current edition of the Canucks. |

Don't forget that 8th year. 8x7.5 or 7x8 give him the option of more money, but less AAV |

Avs are not winning back to back. With Keith gone the D can be improved. If you can't see it I can't help. Were you one of the ones that said the Oil wouldn't make the PO's last year? |

Oilers also had Mike Smith.
And made the conference finals.

Miller is a legit alpha 1 C and Kadri is both older and much less productive. Miller is worth at least $1.5m more. |

Would take Miller over Kadri any day and twice on Sunday. Both had major breakout years last season. The next few years will tell if it all was for real and not just a one-off. For both players. |

Totally nailed it. Maybe why management didn’t want Trading teams talking contract because his ask was too high and would kill the deal.
Either way it makes a JTM signing or trade more feasible now knowing the market given the UFA Kadri deal. |
