7 years is too much... but I hafta give Treliving credit for this. After bungling Gaudreau, he has succeeded in replacing both Johnny and Tkachuk with comprable talent in the same off season. They'll be paying for it in a few years but for now this is great news for Falmes fans, congrats.

If a team uses LTIR to go over the cap, they do not accrue extra cap space towards the end of the season. By being slightly under the cap, Calgary could bring on a valuable roster player at the deadline.

Wow! It is amazing what Treliving has done this offseason. The Flames lose 2/3rds of the top line in the league last year and come out of it a better team.

Defense is solid - probably the best top 6 (as a whole) in the league and stronger down the middle than they have been in years. Still probably more moves to come for them because of their depth at D. Sign Weegar - move Hanifin for another top 6 forward - then take a vacation Tre. You earned it!
