How about some youth with huge potential upside. Hanavin and whatever for Tim Stutzle.
Apparently he is available. Better long term potential than a Phil Kessel type trade. - Fan the Flame

Sure Stutzle is available. If they're trading Andersson, Pelletier, Wolf, and a first.

Monahan's injury, Gaudreau's indecisiveness, Bill Peters, Sam Bennett suppressed and low effort level - that's God's punishment. It's a complete shame Crosby that has to put up with Burke now.
Values and bravery folks. Free speech. Not being a sheep. Not falling in love with propaganda. Not being a coward, and being able to call a spade a spade.
Burke should have kept his politics out of business, it's awful what he did to our team. Companies should get fined for promoting political ideologies, at this point lots of companies are providing a form of political financial donations. In light of what happened to Monahan, sorry you're not looking out for someone by encouraging them to support evil, his injuries are the wrath of God
Anyways, we heard the same lines of optimism out of Monahan last season. I can remember his press conference along side Hanifin, with Monahan saying he was really ok now, and Hanifin looking down awkwardly.. I wish Monahan the best and for him to return to his past form, but I'll believe it when I see it. |

So does Pelletier play in the top 6 for the Flames or bottom 6?
He’d be a great setup guy for Toffoli. - K-man25
If he put in the work this summer and earns a top 6 spot at camp Darryl will reward him.... simple as that with DS! |

Why is that? - DEDDIE
All it'll take to get Kane is for Kane to want to come to Calgary. He's owed almost nothing in actual money, has one year left, and the Blackhawks want to tank. Andersson for Kane at a 50% hit is an easy deal for both teams to make. Hurts to lose Andersson, but they're a legit top 3 team in the league with Kane and will have a ton of cap space to do whatever they want after this season.
The Jets still want to compete and Wheeler is their captain and still one of their best players. He has two years left and is owed a lot more real money with a large cap hit. He also has a NMC and is old. Maybe he'd waive for a year, but he probably doesn't want to move his family for two years. The Jets would also get worse in any deal with the Flames sending bag defence because their defence is pretty solid and their forwards aren't so hot. Trying to make Perfetti take on a top-line role probably isn't the best thing for the team or the player. |

In my opinion, Monahan's injuries are God's wrath. Don't like it? Deal with it

So in your opinion, God is punishing Sean Monahan because Brian Burke chose not to ostracize his own son?
In what possible way can this “opinion” be plausibly explained or justified? |

Dont think your getting P Kane with 5 million retained for Rasmus but maybe.
I think Wheeler is in play all day and the aquisition price would be far less than Kane.
How the hell do you know he wouldnt be interested in moving his family????

With the acquisition of Alex DeBrincat and Claude Giroux Pierre Dorion has made it clear that it is " time for this team to start winning."
Dorion also wants Stutzle to move from wing to centre which Stutzle is reluctant to do.
I realize this all could be a reach but given Dorion's wheeler/dealer style and the fact we have so much to offer especially on defence I thought it was worth a speculation.

Thanks Trevor.
I think the Flames are legit RW away from being a really good team.
They have the pieces to make it happen but who could they go after? - DuranDuran
What about Evan Rodrigues for the RW spot? He put up 19 goals last year in Pittsburgh.
Move out one of the D-Men for draft picks to recoup something there. I'd be more than willing to part with Valimaki at this point. Really do they have a spot for him beyond the 7th? He's too much money for that spot and i don't see him bumping anybody ahead of him. Mackey or Meloche are better fits there.
And if they really think that Pelletier is ready than I'd consider moving Dube. Just helps on the cap front. But that can be further into the season.
Then run something like:
Huberdeau / Lindholm / Toffoli
Mangiapane / Kadri / Rodrigues
Dube (Or Pelletier) / Backlund / Coleman
Lucic / Rooney / Ruzicka / Lewis (some combo there)
Hanafin / Andersson
Weeger / Tanev
Zadorov / Kylington
Mackey or Meloche as the 7th |

I don't answer to you. Seems like you have major issues when people disagree with you.
