This was addressed. They, along with "dozens" of executives were unaware.

That’s a good point. Good on them for not dying on this hill. - joshs
Yeah, especially for a Punter. Really bad allegations, just can't have that distraction this year. I mean they already took a really bad hit on this one. Unfortunately did it to himself, might only have been 21, but your not a kid anymore either. |

it's a miss. i cant and won't blame a guy for not knowing a situation. I dunno. They did the right thing and they cut him 48 hrs later.

I bet at least two teams did. It was very odd that two guys were taken before him. |

I know not everyone agrees, but I respect the way they handled this process. Brandon and Sean remain the right men for the job.
Ion asked the question about if this scenario involved Allen. All things the same, I would be in great emotional pain but would say the same. You can't have that here. So, thank the Spaghetti Monster that Josh Allen is a good person. - TheSabresTaco
Minus the "thorough investigation" statement part, sure.
That was reminiscent of the "We have a little bit more information than the fans" speech |

Maybe they didn't do as big of a check on him during there scouting, but most teams know what these kids were eating for lunch in HS. Maybe they didn't look into him at all and were surprised he was there in the 6th. Still very surprising they didn't know. |

I don’t think anyone knew this was coming. Everyone was touting the legend of the Punt God leading up to the draft. If this was public knowledge every network, reporter, San Diego State, NFL is guilty of turning a blind eye. Jane Doe’s attorney probably waited to file civil lawsuit after someone involved made it to the NFL. |

Horrible Attorney - Buff36
yeah he is beyond bad
probably the main reason the punter got cut today from his twitter rants
so now instead of getting a chance at something, she is getting IOU's if she wins the case

Yup completely agree. It’s sad. This kids life is over with.
Hopefully the truth comes out. I am curious what Ariza actually did and didn’t do

Some good and bad, got the pick wrong. Interesting who he puts in the Bottom 5, and don't think the reason would surprise anyone. - Buff36
Nice share, what would the negative repercussions in the locker room and throughout the organization be finishing bottom 5 again? |

Well did it happen because the goaltending did fail or was it because the youngins didn't grow and took a step back. Think the 2nd part would be bad, just makes Adams decisions on the core that much harder and is it Groundhog Decade all over again and we say well hopefully the next prospects pick it up. |

Either option is a massive failure from management. As great a leader people think Okposo is, that locker room will crack with another bottom 5 finish.
What does your trust-o-meter say when you evaluate the situation the Sabres are in now, going into the season, ability to make the right decisions to compete?
I’m Tim Connolly percent they can make this work. |

Think a lot falls on a goalie that hasn't started more than 19gms in his career. I mean that alone could destroy development of young players |

It's unfortunate, the Bill's bowed to the media pressure and they really had to. Hate to say it but there's a business side to it to. I think if it was more than a Punter the Bill's might have let the process go a little longer. Still a lot of ? on what actually happened. But the Punt God did this to himself. |

I think we have to look around and evaluate the chances this team takes a significant step forward with their 9th place finish last season.
In my book, Ottawa and Detroit finished below the Sabres by 2 and 1 pt respectfully, and added quite a bit of veteran talent to their team, combined with young players who should also grow.
Conversely, I don't see any team that finished higher in the East last season that is poised to take the required slide backwards enough to finish lower.
In the West, SJS probably slides back and maybe Winnipeg folds enough as well. The rest probably stays relatively the same.
So, two puts and two takes. I'd say finishing 9 or 10th again is more likely than not.
Up or down a spot or two is certainly fathomable; so bottom 12 -> 8 is what I suspect.
The real point however is how the young guys play. As 36 mentioned, if it is on the G's again ... that is "better" than if the young guys poop the bed.
took pretty significant steps forward |

I assume the Bill's have more information available to them. Would be interesting to know what it is.
Of paramount importance, to me anyway is what he knew and did related to the gang rape portion. If he participated and she was unwilling...then the worst punishment isn't strong enough. If he did not know, nor contribute...I stand with my position and call the Bill's cowards for not supporting him against unjust accusations.
