On paper Innocent until proven guilty is a thing, in real life not even close... history will always show us if everyone thinks your guilty, you are no mater the outcome.

Beyond a reasonable doubt is the burden of proof in a criminal trial. It is set high because the consequences are high: taking someone’s liberty away. The burden of proof in a civil trial, like her potential suit against the alleged rapists is much lower: more likely true than not true.
Individuals make up their own minds in their own ways. Maybe you want to believe the great punter to be innocent so you look for reasons to doubt her or dislike her lawyer. Or maybe you think the fact that she went to the police right away, that her neck and legs are bruised and that women who accuse men of rape are usually treated like poop are reasons to believe her.
It’s fine to have opinions one way or another as long as you’re open to new information. A lot of people seem pretty invested in believing the punter God.
