There's no way they knew everything that was in that lawsuit. Her attorney would have to be pretty incompetent to risk that information leaking and giving Araiza's and the other guys' attorneys time to get out in front of it.

a testament of them being able to mine talent. Or/also, a rare miss on a free agent. Not like Howard was blowing in the wind for days/weeks afterwards. He wasn't a premium signing based on money or anything but usually those guys on day 1 have a good chance to start or will fight for starts whether that be O D or S. A day 1 miss is peculiar.

Other side of the coin, very happy to see Quintin Morris killing it out there.

Wonder if Bulls don't add a Punter until afterthe final cuts, so they can carry an injured player, then move them to IR (or whatever the classification is called, PUP?). Was Howard cut to carry one of those guys?

This case is still going to affect the Bills until well after everything is finalized. The court of public opinion has already found the Bills guilty of not cutting the guy 2 minutes after they found out about the case in July. The ramifications of that will not go away until long after this case is settled. If he is found guilty of these accusations, criminally or civilly, the questions of why the Bills handled it the way they did will come back. I've already read scathing articles from Fairburn at the Athletic and Skurski at the Buffalo News. I'm sure there are more locally, let alone nationally, but it becomes redundant to a certain point, but there's no doubt in my mind they will go back to that well when the time comes. It's over from a roster perspective, but from a PR perspective, there's a long way to go.

This doesn't even consider legal ramifications. The accuser's attorney has already taken multiple shots at the Bills, to the point that I can see him try to work them into a lawsuit somehow. On the other hand, if Araiza turns out to be found not guilty, the statement from the parents doesn't seem like they will go quietly either. This is why the Bills were, and should be, so mum about this.

He is probably right about that. I think that 99% of the time the team that gets the superstar wins the trade but I think in this case both teams got what they needed. From the Vegas perspective I think they need to consider the other player(s) that they had to get rid of by taking on the contract.
