I have said it time and time again. I like AB. I really do. But he is inconsistent and he is a tradable asset. With regards of your hot take, for his own good he better score.

Also, him having a good year does not make me feel any better about him. it is a critical contract year.

- Nfdbulldawg

Keller has been inconsistent too. He had a very good year last year on the top line and top pp unit. while Beau was getting benched for being on Bailey's line.

Somewhat, yes.

He’s also played on an absolute dog poop team for his entire career.

Keller's numbers are consistently higher than AB and his Power Play numbers are very good on a crappy team. If he were on the Isles where he is not the lone focus, his numbers would be even higher.

Again, I like AB, but I believe he is a moveable asset for this team to improve.

I may be naïve but I find it very hard to believe that Lamoriello would wreck a guys career for not getting the vaccination.

Well if he’s not at camp not really sure how much more proof you need? Pretty much follows Lameriello’s MO for better or worse. I’m sure it’s a big selling point for FA’s.

Lou is just hoping to take over for Dr. Fauci if things do not work out with the Islanders this year.

Who knows maybe it’s a BS article and the kid will be at camp but I think it’s time to move on from the whole vaxx status thing. Mandating the vaccine was a mistake and if anyone can’t admit that at this point, Lameriello included, they need to be called out for it. Enough peoples lives have been ruined by this stupidity.

When you cannot sign quality FA's, maybe it's time to change a little and not be the get off my lawn guy. You have to be able to connect with young players today.

I think Beau like most players on the team last season had a down year. For what ever reason you want to believe it was rough pretty much team wide. That said his trade value isn’t what it was say a couple years ago. I think Beau and the rest of the Islanders will pick up their games. For me Beau is still young and believe he could have a break out year.
If Beau and the Islanders don’t have a PO year he won’t be the only change made to this team by senile Lou.

Are you sure Lou gets to make the changes if the Islanders miss the playoffs?

He’s gone if they don’t make the playoffs. They may call it a retirement but there’s a zero % chance Ledecky/Malkin miss that revenue again in their new arena especially after how much revenue they lost during Covid. This is a make or break season for the team as it’s presently assembled and Lameriello. You can take that to the bank.

Have to think so. This is not just about Lou. Any other GM would have trouble staying GM if their team misses the playoff two years in a row after a new building is opened.

1000% If they miss, he's gone. However, I don't think they will. They are once again the underdogs(were they ever really NOT?!) who have to prove everyone wrong. The whole team should be extremely motivated this season.

I think the Islanders can make the playoffs but I do not see another ECF trip with the current roster.

this is so friggin absurd.

So a professional athlete who is smart enough to not want to put something in his body that is potentially dangerous to protect him from a Virus that is not at all dangerous... can't play b/c he is somehow putting others who have the Vaccine in Danger.

the Sheer Stupidity is staggering.

I don’t dislike Lou. I may not agree with everything he does or doesn’t do but I’m not saying I want the guy fired. Just stating that’s exactly what will happen if this team doesn’t make the playoffs. If that happens his son isn’t exactly a lock to succeed him imo.

I agree somewhat. There are a lot of unknowns going into this season. What will lambert be able to get out of the team? Will one of the kids take the next step like we need them too? Will Beau and or Palmeri contribute more? I assume they’ll be motivated as well but will that motivation be enough to supersede what looks like an improved division in an 82 game season? Maybe or maybe not I’m not sure either way. I’m certainly not counting them out but it’s far from a sure thing imo.

Ledecky and Malkin almost have to move on if Isles miss the playoffs and especially with Lou not being young and if the team needs some sort of rebuild.

He should sue the NHL, Islanders, and Lou for jeopardizing his career.

That would be great just to have all the Statistics brought out to these morons.
