I really wonder how many FA’s didn’t want to play under his thumb? There has to be at least a few.

Oh I’m sure there are.

It does not matter if he is a top prospect or not. It’s not the right thing to do and especially when the NHL is no longer requiring the shot.

Whether he is a top prospect or not has nothing to do with it.

This is true but the Yankees have a lot more success in attracting top FA's and high profile teams like the Yankees can have rules and still be an attractive destination. The vaccination policy by the Islanders makes no sense at all.

I think you offer a player enough money they will shave and cut their hair

If the NHL had a mandatory vaccination policy, then I could understand Wilde not being invited. But the NHL doesn’t. So far as I can tell, only Lou is acting in this manner. Which (IMO) is an overly heavy handed response to a purely personal decision.

For certain.

But the question is, why should one care if they have facial hair in the first place?

With what Covid did to the team last year I get Lou’s concern but I have to say, especially at this point with what we know about the virus and the vaccine it doesn’t make sense for Lou to mandate it.

Played for some teams myself that had hair and facial hair requirements. I guess so you look like a man and not a caveman? It’s an old school policy to respect the crest you play for.
Sacrifice all the players make for the team I guess. Like the military I suppose, a bit of discipline. Never questioned it, because I didn’t want to find out what happened if you didn’t adhere to the rules. I think your teammates probably shave you and give you a haircut. No thanks

I think that most who played for him would again. There have been some that have.

I can kinda sorta see the rationale.

That said, if I was told I had to shave my beard to participate in some sport or function, I’d say no.

Does Canada still have a restriction against non-vaccinated people entering the country? If so maybe that plays into it?

Not sure how that comes into play for someone who won’t have to cross the border? If the kid isn’t at camp it’s just Lou being Lou. Disobey you pay the price.

I am taking the side of being aloud to make your own medical decisions based on what you and your Doctor think... not what some jackwagon in gov't who is getting millions from the company that is making the vaccine tells me what to do... the same company that is getting paid for these vaccines via tax dollars. The same company that refuses to administer these vaccines without immunity from lawsuits. The same company that wanted to withhold all the results from issues caused by the vaccine for 75 years until a court order made them release the results...

so yeah.. I am on Bode Wilde's side, and Aaron Rodgers, and anyone who told all the lemmings to STFU i will not put a "Vaccine" that does not prevent me from getting the virus, but could potentially give me blood clots and myocarditis.

Pffft. (frank) allegedly. I’d literally leave money on the table if it meant keeping my beard.

And don’t even (frank)ing think of mandating no plaid.
