Wow Iā€™m surprised with all of us internet GMs on here no one but 3 made their predictions if the Islanders make the POs or not. Reach down and grab your Ba11s and make a prediction. Iā€™m especially disappointed in the Girls Club. WTF!?

So, now that we basically know that romanov is the new addition on the roster at least for the start of the season barring an unforeseen deal prior. I have a question, Do the Islanders make the PO's this year?
My answer would be yes. Don't care if its 1st place in the division or a wildcard birth as thats the goal of most teams going into a new season.

What's your predictions?

- nyisles7

If they make it, it will be a 7th or 8th seed with a first round exit.

Yes the Islanders will make the playoffs and I believe LOU has one more card to play that will further improve this team.

Aho was arrested in Sweden on suspicion of DUI. Yikes šŸ˜³

#Isles News:

Statement from Lou Lamoriello: We were made aware immediately of the situation regarding Sebastian Aho. We have a copy of the police report indicating that he registered a 0.03 blood alcohol content, which is .01 over Swedenā€™s legal limit of .02.

Sebastian apologizes for his mistake and as an organization we will work with him to make sure this never happens again.

He probably had a cold and took some cough syrup.

Rumor mill saying it was 10:30 in the morning and he blew that number as residual from drinking the night before.. if that is the case it's truly absurd.

Edit:
https://nypost.com/2022/0...-drunk-driving-in-sweden/ confirmed..

ā€œHe had no idea he would still be over the limit by the next morning and felt 100%, but unfortunately he made a mistake and he is very sorry!ā€ Ahoā€™s agent, Claude Lemieux, told The Post via text.

I can't believe the limit is .02

You could get a DWI for just being in the same room as a drunk guy

I know Ek is bull of sht but he has us in on Evan Rodrigues. I would actually love that sign. He was the one guy on the Penguins in the playoffs that was really noticeable every single shift. I know he is 29.. but wouldn't be too expensive.

Rodrigues or Milano would both be good adds for very little money

He probably wouldnā€™t cost much and heā€™s a decent player but I feel he would be a bit redundant on this team. Like Martin and Johnston. We have a few E Rods already. Sure it gives us depth but who does he play in front of? I donā€™t see the point.

He had 19-24-43pts last season, he probably plays in front of mostly winger in the bottom 6

Parise? Beau? Wahlstrom? He made 2 million last year Iā€™m all about putting pressure on Bailey but I donā€™t see it helping the team or moving the needle overall and Iā€™m sure heā€™s looking for a raise.

I would absolutely play him over Parise. Frankly he should play over Martin, Johnston, and/or Clutterbuck before that. I'd prefer that Wahlstrom establish himself as a reliable scorer, but if he doesn't then I'd play ER over him too.

Have to agree chief but be careful in wanting to play someone over the 4th line.

Yeah exactly thatā€™s the thing. Have to give the kids a chance. Parise is going to play I think we all know that I donā€™t care who the coach is. Heā€™s not playing on the fourth line. To me itā€™s a back up plan but itā€™ll be an expensive one.

Nah.

Parise put up only 8 less points while playing mainly with Pageau. Evan Rodrigues produced the majority of his points playing in Pittburghā€™s top 6.

An argument could certainly be made for Rodrigues playing over the others though.
