Well the Miller rumors are firing up today. If this holds water what do you give up?

I believe his agent and them have hit a wall. Tough call as far as what to give up I’m pretty stingy with next years first but that would be Vancouver’s starting point. |

I don’t pony up the 1st unless it’s a sign and trade (or there’s handshake extension in place). |

Your right, let’s not give up 1st round pick unless Miller is committed to Islanders for long term. |

I believe that’s the hold up with moving him. Vancouver wasn’t allowing teams to negotiate with him during FA from what was reported. Not sure if that has changed now? The problem with us is we’ll be in the same boat with trying to move salary which seems Lameriello was unable to do. |

Well Lou would only need to clear 2.5(ish) in space to fit Miller’s current contract. That should be doable. |

Who and how? Sure it’s a smaller amount but I would think Beau would have to be part of the deal(they’re not taking Bailey, contrary to some peoples beliefs no one is). |

Some Vancouver fans are still convinced they’d get Dobson plus picks back. |

I still don't get why Vancouver would not want him to talk to other teams. If they know that the team is willing to sign him , wouldn't that make the trade return better? |

I believe it was because, at the time, they were actively still negotiating with him while shopping him just in case. Not sure if it’s a sticking point now. |

Package Bellows and a pick with Panik for futures.
That would about do it. |

Lou buried Panik in the AHL last season, thereby saving most of his cap hit. So dumping him only amounts to a net savings of $375K.
Unless my math is off..... |
