Lou buried Panik in the AHL last season, thereby saving most of his cap hit. So dumping him only amounts to a net savings of $375K.

Unless my math is off.....

I am pretty sure that anyone you send to AHL that clears waivers saves you $1mill of their cap and the rest stays on your cap... So if you waive Panik u are still getting hit with 375k cap hit and 1 mill comes off.. Bellows cap would be 200k if he cleared... Bailey would still be $4 mill of his $5mill.. etc. Obviously if someone claimed them the whole number comes off the cap.

Yes, but does that apply to this season? Cause CapFriendly has his full contract on the Isles books right now.

You are correct. My point is that I figured Lou would just bury most of his cap hit in Bridgeport again this season. I wasn't sure what your starting point was for your analysis.

Of course, as some (cpt, nite) have said or implied, this could be his breakout year! Also, Josh Ho-Sang's!

If you mean that he’s gonna be a KHL All Star, then yes. Yes it is.

This is the year where JHS and Kirill 1 & 2 finally break out in the NHL.

First a KHL All Star, then the Gagarin Cup. Can a Stanley Cup be far behind?

Miller’s wife had a baby today, that’s a good sign he’s not going anywhere for now.

I believe just like last year he was originally on the roster before being waived and sent down. Don't see how it will be any different this year. Funny thing he looked good the first couple of games after the covid outbreak and then quickly went back to being Richard Panik and we never saw him again

Vancouver gonna have to move someone with Miller signing. Maybe Connor Garland become available now? Smaller guy with speed , loves to shoot . 30 goal potential especially with Barzal.

Garland could be a possibility but they won’t let him go cheap. They'd be far more likely to move Pearson, Dickinson or Hoglander.
