Surprised he took less than 9 per. 🤔

I think the numbers have reduced due to the cap not going up.

Uncle Leo signed in Sweden. He should do well there, lots of skating room in that league.

Ryan Whitney another ex player that should visit HB to get his facts. He’s just got it all wrong.

"They're gonna be a (explicit) good team, man. Their whole season was the biggest collaboration of bad luck I've ever seen a team have. They had to start the whole season on the road, they all got Covid, no canceled games, and then all of a sudden they started canceling every team's games when guys got Covid. There was no chance they (could) come back (after all that). The roster the year before had gone to the Eastern Conference Final, actually both years before. The Islanders are very good and will be very good this year."

You're right that he should visit HB to learn more about hockey. I really do hope that Ryan turns out to be right about the Islanders. I do have concerns, however, that they will struggle to make the playoffs. However, if they sneak in, they will be the team that no one wants to face.

No I stop coaching him once he hit bantam. He did not need his dad around to get him where he wanted to go. Plus it is a whole other way of thinking. Need coaches that that is all they do. I am just a fan and analyst now.

Nope...Just a fan and his web site manager. If he can get a college education out of all this. Then it was a successful journey. Otherwise I have just a lot of great memories.

If the defense plays to their ability and Romanov winds up being everything lameriello hoped it will go a long way. Couple that with one of Wahlstrom or bellows having a good season along with lambert squeezing what he can out of the lineup like Trotz did they have a shot. This of course coinciding with everyone having a bounce back season would lead to them making the playoffs imo. It’s not to much of an unrealistic thought but you also have to factor in the progression of other teams in the metro division through FA improvements and growth. Bottom line is they have a shot but it can go one way or the other imo.

That’s a great way to look at it, collage education and to play for a school is a major accomplishment. As they boys get older they always say it’s like climbing a pyramid, as you get closer to the narrow top more players start sliding down. I have two son’s that went through this and it was full of great memories. Being able to hang out with your son’s on the weekends is something to cherish.
I wish all the best to your Son on his adventure, and may he stay healthy.

Good luck.

Isn’t it funny that if that same Ryan Whitney had said the islanders didn’t have a shot in hell this season he would’ve been blasted for having said opinion .

Okay, I am bored, so I am going to play Internet GM.

Since the Islanders cannot sign big name free agents. It is time to over pay in trade. My target Clayton Keller.

Yotes send Clayton Keller and Josef Korenar to Isles.

Isles send Varly, AB, Raty, Bailey and an 2nd to Yotes

Lee Barzal Keller
Bellows Neslon Walhstrom
Parise JGP Palmieri
Johnson CC Clutter

Pullock Pelech
Dobson Romanov
Mayfield Salo

Sorokin
Korenar

So I think we can all agree that the Yotes are trying to suck hard for Bedard. As such, they've no interest in making their roster more competitive to start the season.

With that in mind, they won’t be wanting Varly. Beauvillier/Bailey probably won’t outperform Keller, so that part makes sense. But as Keller is their franchise winger, and arguably has flipped the switch into becoming a PPG forward, I don’t think a 2nd and Räty does the trick.

Perhaps Beauvillier, Bailey, Dufour and the 2023 1st (unprotected) would sway them? All I know, is that I wouldn’t give them the 1st AND Räty.

Hard to release from being a parent. It’s probably the best for you and of course your child. Although I’m sure you’re his coach at the dinner table and or car ride home if it’s not the bus.
I wish him luck and enjoy the ride. Make sure he looks at college if he’s at that level. 4 free years is a great education.

I don’t think anyone is dying to trade Beau, myself included. I believe it’s more we believe he’s the easiest path to shed salary if need be. I’m hoping Beau breaks out this season more then anyone else. Hopefully you’re right. We’re going to need him too.

It’s possible. Not likely, but possible.

But if you put Keller on the Isles, then there wouldn’t be a snowflakes chance in hell.

I have said it time and time again. I like AB. I really do. But he is inconsistent and he is a tradable asset. With regards of your hot take, for his own good he better score.

Also, him having a good year does not make me feel any better about him. it is a critical contract year.
