arent we talking about Brett Stapley ?

46. Brett Stapley - Forward - 23 - University of Denver

Stapley has the biggest drop in this year’s list, falling 23 spots from his place within the Top 25 last year, at #23. In his senior season, he set career highs in goals with 18 and points with 43 in 41 games. So why did a player with over a point per game drop so steeply in the rankings? Well, because it appears unlikely he will sign a contract with the Canadiens.

Due to the NCAA rule change, he was eligible for a fifth NCAA season, which would have given the Canadiens another year with his rights. It appears he has not taken that option, however, and those rights have expired.

Stapley is a smaller forward, and there are a lot of them in the Canadiens organization. He has talent, and we’ll see if he can earns himself a contract with another club.

yes but I have no clue where he falls in there, I just posted today's ranking they were looking at since you mentioned the top 30 (actually it's a top 25, not as glorious as the laffs' top 40 but one day we'll get there).

hope he continues to improve, could be a solid 3rd line player eventually. He was great at the WJC a few weeks ago
- Symba007

yup, looking at the way he played during the tourney gave me the impression he could even become a 2nd liner but that's probably just me being overly optimistic.

Can we keep the drug dealers away from this appartement this time?
- Fredo

Laval is probably worst than MTL when it comes to "them"

Meh...I'm just glad they signed a guy they drafted. I'm so used to this organization tossing their draft picks aside to grab other teams second or third hand "reclamation projects" that mostly never lead to anything

It's a one year AHL deal...worth the shot in my opinion.
