Penticton over Vernon any day. Even further South into OK Falls and Oliver. The crime in Vernon is gotten bad. - Shuswap Wap
My Grandparents had property in Vernon on the lake and we spent our summers there so have a bit of a soft spot for the area but I hear you. They all have their plusses and minuses Kelowna Vernon Pentitcton Kamloops etc...
It would just be nice to get away from these Alberta winters someday but with climate change one never knows, could be beach front property soon...

Currently I trust JR when he says that Miller will not walk for nothing. - Retinalz
So it must worry you that he hasn't said this yet.

There’s also always a surprise team who overachieves and goes all in at the deadline, even if they can’t sign the player to an extension. For example, this is probably Bergeron’s last season, if the Bruins think they can make a run they might want Miller. Or maybe the bolts have someone in LTIR until the playoffs and go back to the well. - 1970vintage

I didn’t type it, but I totally had the Canucks on the surprise over achiever who goes all in at the deadline list in my head. But I’ll take them at their word for now, I gave Benning a year and a half, I’ll do the same for the new crew. |

Predictions: Calgary will be a good team, but it takes them a while to find chemistry. Growing pains cost them.
Goaltending is a real problem for Vegas, even with improved scoring.
Vancouver surprises, Demko again overcomes mediocre defending in front of him and is a legit Vezina contender. Canucks sneak in, finding some scoring depth finally up front.
They Finish behind Edmonton, who are eliminated in the first round as Campbell once again takes a dukey in the net. |

Lol. Some fans really have no clue about Vegas’s goalie situation. |

You are relying on a goaltender that hasn't played 20 games in a season and only 20 games total. And a back up with sub .900 save percentage last year that is a career back up with a max of 24 games played in a year.
What did I miss. Even a true homer fan realizes there are question marks at best there.

Lots of questions on Defence as well...
Pietrangelo, Martinez and Theodore are a good top 3. Pietrangelo is stud obviously.
But McNabb, Hutton and Whitecloud are
Seems to lack any depth.
They remind me of the Oilers lineup.
Lots of scoring, little D depth and shakey goaltending. |

The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Tage Thompson to a seven-year, $50MM extension beginning in the 2023-24 season. The contract has a cap hit of $7.143MM and runs through 2030-2031. |

Just as bad a take as your Vegas goaltending/defense opinion.
He’s a stud. |

It was more a comment on Buffalo Sabres mgmt and their rushing to hand out big contracts, which have bit them in the arse in the past.
I honestly don't pay attention to the east and have no idea who the kid is.

Maybe. Had an excellent season last year but had never got more than 20 points in a season before. |

Other better players? He’s their top scorer and top point getter. 6’7” power forward. |

It’s a risk still after only one good season, but I think it will pay off. I’d way rather have Pettersson locked up on an 8 year deal than OEL/Garland. |
