Would rather have Tage on his upcoming deal than Kadri or JT Miller’s. - Pegullaville
Although I agree, Tage is a polarizing player. Most of his goals last year were silly snipes. I think he is still on the rise, as Miller is likely at his peak (for how much longer?).

Anyone going to Wingfest today will be treated to seeing my band, Boomerang! at the Labbatt gate4/tailgating area right at the main entrance. We'll be playing roughly from 12-5ish depending on how long our singers can hold out. Venue is nice to let us use a suite for breaks.

Should be a blast.

So the guy lucked into 38 goals? That might be the worst take on this board in weeks.

I think that $7.1m contract is pretty spot on. I would have preferred something like 5 x $6.0 - $6.5m myself, but the risk of him walking to UFA status if he had another season similar to last year is worth paying a premium.
I disagree with others who position the threat of his next contract value at $9.0m $10m if he had another season like last. Recent signings for guys puting up 80+ points at ~$8.2m make that an uunreasonable projection at 70+/- pts.
Now the risk of underperformance exists, although I don't see a high risk of significant underperformance.
Summary, hats off to Adams and team for a reasonable contract signed early and sending a strong message to the team.
Now let's hope Krebs, Cozens, Power and other youngins take notice and take the next steps of development.

So if Vancouver moves Horvat is he worth a gamble. Fantastic on the Dot. - Buff36
I don't discount the value of FO's to near zero like some, yet I can't bring myself to making it a significant criteria either. I would rather have a strong dot presence to be sure, but wouldn't over value it either.
Bo's a 27 yo, 0.75 ppg player with good possession metrics and good shooting percentage.
1 year left at $5.5m...probably a $7.0m - $7.5/m contract value next year.
Not sure I would trade for that now and lose an asset (unless it was Portillo), why not just wait for UFA?

Agree, I am interested on what the return will be, they really can't take on a contract

How do you get that out of what he said, he did have a lot of silly snipes with that rocket shot!! - Buff36
I wonder if anyone ever said that about Brett Hull, as if it was a bad thing. "He scored a ton of goals but only because he could shoot the puck through the back of the net".

perfect world, 6 mil per, but it's not my money
my guess is if he went off again next year, it would be 9 per so the good thing is they identified a core piece moving forward and locked him up
Love riverworks but I can’t tell you how many people are just walking around canalside during the summer with nothing to do.
I get basspro years ago wasn’t the answer but man who ever puts something remotely interesting downtown that isn’t a restaurant and some form of entertainment will make bank
People down there literally wandering doing nothing waiting to spend money. (Myself included )
