I wonder what that the baseline is for the 20% increase.
Attendance last year was pretty woeful, is that the baseline?...some say 7,500 x1.2 = 9,000 fo '22-'23
Does it include the STH who also pushed for a year last season...what is that number all up all in?...say 9,5p0 x 1.20 = 11,400?
Over?
Under?
That article had little of reporting substance to me anyway. - IonSabres
They have a 10 game pack that is weekend only games. That’s an intriguing offer. If it gave you a shot at playoff games (I know right) I would be a buyer |

Good post.
Agree on both counts.
I am hoping that Kulich makes it varwy, varwy interesting and tough on the FO. - IonSabres

I have a pair of excellent lowers behind the net on the aisle 14 rows up
Also deciding between keeping 4 or 8 seats in row 3 of the 300's behind the Sabres net. Also on the aisle.
The "playoff tickets " would be the only way to actually make some $.
If anyone is interested in tickets or possibly the rights to seats 5-8 . Send me a pm |

Could be another thing Cashman really screwed up. Kids gonna get paid and Cashman made a Sabres mistake and walked him right into FA |

I'm in Florida, so I'm not a buyer, but if I were, then 10-15 games would be perfect for me.
Weekend package would be intriguing for sure. |

I liked the Savoie pick myself, I think that kid is going to be a stud.
Kulich has "it" as well, IMO.
Going to be fun watching the youngins progress. |

This is a pretty good read!! - Buff36
A couple of issues with it.
One, it was not a contract year.
Two, he should be using percentage of cap limit to compare contracts, not just dollars.
But last season, in a contract year, Thompson’s play exploded to the upside. |

Does Weissbach or Biro push for spots. Did Murray work on his skating all offseason again and what if he has improved. Maybe Pekar finally grasps what Donnie and Appert want. Sabres have other players that could change some things. - Buff36
Their only shot is injuries. It's just the reality of waiver exempt guys in a guaranteed contract league. They don't have a real chance otherwise.

I've been told it was Ventura's decision not KA.
So I guess our opinion of KA shouldn't be slighted |

Very good Point!! But then Adams isn't doing what he's preaching and letting these kids progress in the system and not putting the best team on the ice. |

I do appreciate the article posting by 36, always interesting to read.
It was a longer read than it could have been by including data analysis that has little relevance.
It could have / should have been summed up as it was a difficult contract to properly project given a very significant 1 year breakout that was so radically different from previous years that it rendered his past performance useless. There are little comparables to anyway. Further more, there is little evidence to soundly project Tage's future production.
Adams' team obviously believe the probability of Tage producing similar or better numbers outweighs the probability of him regressing to lesser production.
All that other data only serves to identify there is risk ... and everyone knows it already.
A better angle may have been to use other players who had a breakout season of this magnitude to project the likelihood of a player reproducing that production on a regular basis. |

Good catch, technically it's not a contract year, but if you are gonna take that gamble it was the year to do it. |

Paying tage now sets the table for the other soon to be expiring players.
Cozens, power and dahlin definitely took note.
Extensions like tages, should be making everyone go full throttle this season.

Indeed, read it. I read the Athletic every morning...but thanks for posting..as usual...I enjoy reading various perspectives.
I have zero issue with them signing him for what they did.
There is ample risk on both sides ...value seems very fair given the uncertainty and difficulty projecting future production since the trend line is all kinds of F'd up. |

I'm thinking that drafting power, does put a little less pressure on the organization.
Power and dahlin play the same position
Could trade dahlin for a true 1C ...... |

Let's see where this season shakes out.
Assuming Dahlin continues to progress, it would have to be an incredible package to trade him away.
Also, I want to see what Savoie brings to the table in another year...he has potential to be a top line player...maybe a decent 1C. 1st line of some combination of Krebs, Peterka, Quinn, Kulich, and Savoie could be dangerous.
This team is going to be fun to watch if they can all take a nice step forward.

Savoie is probably at least 4 years away from being a true #1c ( better than 2c tage)
Dahlin should develop more this season, but if his contract is an issue for some reason.....
Dahlin for a 1C .....

The pressure is also on Dahlin to have a true breakout season. 53 points and a -22 doesn't get you the massive payday imo. The other Rasmus came close to those numbers in year 4 (45p, -9) |
