Guess the Knights GM wasn't as confident in their goaltending as you are
- SMP8719
What are you talking about? I said they’d likely bring in a cheap vet back up and that’s exactly what they did. |

Here’s an interesting narrative twist.
As coach of the Canucks, Bruce Boudreau was 32-15-10, good for 13th best in the entire NHL. 13th best, just barely a playoff spot. |

Depth is who replaces your 3rd liners when they have to fill in for the top 6. - A_SteamingLombardi
See that's a different definition than what was just given to me, so I don't know that most people see it the same way. |

A lot of ifs. - Marwood
Sure, but doesn't that mean anyone stating that the Canucks depth is awful is jumping the gun? |

They already had that. My point is it wasn't good enough... especially when the expected starter is not proven beyond a total of 20 games.
For all you know they may have just traded for their starter

Woah woah woah!
Lunkhead says the Oilers are Canadas team, their starter only has 135 games in the show, and is an upgrade over Smitty.

Oilers vs. Flames posts belong in a different thread. - NorthNuck
I suppose. But the reality is we could be seeing something great this year with EDM-CGY-VAN in the standings. If Miller is here that is which he should be. Gonna be a fun year. It's not all doom/gloom like 80% in here want it to be every year lol |

Which was a 106 point pace would have been right in front of Edm from seasons start under Boudreau. 11th spot. But hey...it really doesn't matter how well the team does right?
- LordHumungous
Yes but over that miracle stretch, where they could barely lose, they were only the 13th best team. You would expect, based on your narrative, that they would have been one of the best 3 or 4 teams in the league over that span, but that is not the case.
Also, the Oilers suck, so being better than them isn’t exactly a high bar… |

They didn’t already have that. Because he’s injured and not likely to play. And I said earlier that they’d likely bring in a cheap vet back up. And if you think Hill will start over the guy that was the starter for team Canada at the world championships this year then you really have no clue. |

2nd best in the Pacific division during that stretch, which is really all that matters. |

Actually, fifth in the pacific is the thing that actually matters, but yeah, I get your point. |

Saw a “news” article about several patients in a nursing home who got sick or died because someone fed them dish soap instead of juice. |

Yeah, that sh itkicking they laid on the Flames has really gone to his head. Sure it was glorious, but not quite Canada's team material. |

Not a Jack Campbell fan... He has only played one season with Starter GP.... But his numbers have been good when he has played for 5+ years now. Just back up amount of starts for a majority of it. Guess we shall see how he does this year if he can stay healthy.
And after that BOA series last year..... shouldn't you be concerned about your own goaltending? Sutter does make his goalies look good.... but that was ugly.

Yeah they did. Laurent Brossoit as back up to Logan Thompson. He is already a Veteran Back up. He has played longer and more games then Adin Hill.
And you can do better then mentioning a world championship roster that he had to beat out Chris Driedger and Matt Tomkins for, or can you
Pretty Strong competition there |
