Don't ever ever ever go to Winnipeg. Place is an absolute sh!thole. I now understand why NHL players don't want to be there. Utter disbelief at how that city is maintained in a province with provincial taxes. Fucking embarrassing for one of Canada's oldest cities.

It could be worse we could have been rebuilding since 2005 like the Flames. and never getting past the 2nd round for 20 years. KY-Lube-Man will come in and normalize it though. Nothing to worry about with Marky and Tanev there. All good.

One plus was yes, WPG is a bit of a foodie place like TO and MTL a bit. Great spots for pizza and pub foods. We didn't hit any high end restaurants but I will say I may have had the best steak sandwich I have ever had at the WPG casino. They do it on charcoal briquettes and man it was unreal good. 10oz ribeye Steak Sanny for 23$ with all the trimmings was fantastic. Didn't really do any fast foods or Donairs but do love a good Donair done right.

It’s getting better. They’ve improved it quite a bit and still making improvements. Nice new little airport. Lots of nice new suburbs. It used to be much worse. I’d rate it ahead of Regina now though.
Edit: and Red deer isn’t a great place either.
