Young D like romanov are hard to find....guys like Mcdonaugh or sergachev you never trade....even a hard hitter ljke Chelios.....you never deal especially for a guy who "could" be good

I agree with most of this and I would have liked to keep Romanov, I hope we dont regret this, BUT the C line was weak and you gotta give to get. Hopefully it works out like the PK trade and not like the Drouin trade.

You do have to give to get, but Dach is somewhat of a gamble while Romanov looked like a safer bet.

Anyway, Habs were not trading Suzuki or Caufield so after that, teams would have been asking about Romanov and not Joel Armia.

Hopefully they can get something done soon for Dach. It's getting a bit late in the off season now.

Bad trade? Romanov has a ceiling which he is soon approaching. Big hitter but little else. Still time to prove me wrong. Dach is a 6'4" centremen who has potential to be a C1 or C2. You make that deal all day long. Two year bridge at 2.25M and hope he makes you pay on his next deal. Another win for Hughes

Dach does not have C1 potential. If you’re very lucky he may be a C2. In reality he’s a C3.
