It’s a meme war. Like the one VHG posted, then there are the ones saying Canuck fans loved the Huberdeau trade/extension and hate the Miller one. Both were a bad idea.
Yes, the Uncle Lalite’s of the fan base (or whatever the hell his name is) are as bad as the slurpers. - 1970vintage
I'm OK with both. I'll take Miller over Huberdeau all day every day in the stretch run and for playoff style hockey. |

I have a feeling VAN is in on Lundqvist, why wouldn't they? We're loaded full of Swedes, I'm sure he has buddies on the team. RHD.
MTL is rumored to be interested, I'm sure he'd rather be in VAN. Makes too much sense. |

In the context of the market for star players, this was a great deal. In the context of should you sign guys into their mid to late 30’s for big dollars? I don’t think that’s a good idea personally. I’d rather risk the Tage Thompson like contracts where they are 23 when they start instead of 29 when they start. Sure, both could bite you in the ass, or provide great value for the duration, but I feel like the risk is much higher on the older deals. |

For goalies that played more than 33 games last season, pretty much starters.
12th in SV%
17th in GAA
13th in goals saved above expected.
He was a top tier goalie this year but was still behind many others. His numbers would most likely improve slightly if they allowed fewer scoring chances though. - manvanfan

As long as the local fan base is happy, the ones in skinny jeans sipping on a grande peppermint mocha made with soy topped off with whip.

As Rutherford said, either you do it or someone else will. Good players are hard to find. |

Beyond the fact the kid is a total bust, we can’t afford another Smurf. A blueline with hughes, Rathbone, Dermott and Nils? Lol. |

As long as the refs protect them, they'll do fine.

Hope the weekend is going well!
I'm back with yet another blog about J.T. Miller.
Yes, the salary-cap situation is complicated. But under the terms of the deal, the Canucks look to be getting very good value off J.T. Miller's new contract...

Keep in mind that Boudreau has done fuck all in the playoffs as a coach. - Marwood
True.
He’s the coach to get us there.
Lets start there 1st then move on to contender status whether it’s him or another coach.
At present we face improving our prospect pool & some more cap unravelling. |

Don’t see it unless an outright bargain. We don’t need a small pp specialist 3rd pairing D who’s behind Hughes & pretty sure Bones. |

That is a solid generalization but JTM started out here very good & didn’t get to showcase himself as much on a powerhouse Bolts team. Age & term is an issue but that is yet to be proven if bad. |
