Yep. It's almost a foregone conclusion at this point. They've been laying the groundwork for years.

Also it would fail spectacularly in Europe. Aside from a few big ones randomly, I think most of them are basically arenas in the 5-11k range. I know the rinks in the K I went to were small as hell outside of the one for Dynamo Minsk.

to be fair, the KHL seems to be a little sus in terms of managing the league and their finances in general, but even if the NHL has a more solid plan it doesn't mean it's necessarily a good move for them either.
