BUFFALO, N.Y. -- After requesting an extension this offseason, All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer and the Buffalo Bills have agreed to a reworked contract for the 2022 season that includes up to $2 million in incentives, agents Drew Rosenhaus and Kyle Lincoln told ESPN's Field Yates on Saturday.

"Jordan appreciates this goodwill gesture by the Bills as we continue to work for a contract extension," Rosenhaus said to ESPN.

He's a fabulous player, unfortunately getting older and we have a couple good young cheaper Safeties in waiting.

Bills are going to have to make some hard decisions next offseason. Over the cap by a lot. Beane is a magician with that Cap though. He fangled Allen's contract. Could turn like 27m of his cap hit next year into a signing bonus and spread it over the life of the contract, would save like 24m. But then you are kicking a lot of money down the road.

If the models projecting future years of the NFL salary cap are accurate, it could approach $230 million in 2023. Realistically, a $300 million NFL salary cap is possible by the 2026 season if the current trends continue.

I say depending on how much the Cap goes up, the Bills have a 3 or 4 year window until the Cap could really hurt them. Young players are gonna have to step up

So TWO years agoā€¦.
Jfc dude

And btw,
he only had 35catches in his of his first 2 seasons- so itā€™s not like he was setting the league on fire

He had a handful of good games, and he has developed into what we now could say is a good WR- if he keeps consistently making plays like he did last week & in the playoffs last year

Andā€¦. I didnā€™t call you an idiot
I said ā€œdonā€™t be oneā€

Yeah cause that is such a long time ago. 12TD's in his last 46 catches, he's pretty good

Sure, NOW
2 years ago as a rookie who hadnā€™t even played yet- he wasnā€™t
Good god dude

Josh Allen wasnā€™t good as a rookie either
Should we talk about how people correctly said that 3+ years ago as well

NO ONE is CURRENTLY saying Gabe Davis isnā€™t good
I repeat, NO ONE

He was fantastic in Camp his rookie year, I said he was gonna beat some people out. Posters said he was just a late rnd fly in the pants and he turned himself into a good WR. That's all this whole thing was about with what Beady said, and some people not thinking that. Damn you act like it's a long time ago. And it shows us not to give up on some of these young players with Sabres.

You must be Blond or something. It was just a reference because it wasn't always felt that way.

Ok, greatā€¦.
What ppl said TWO YEARS AGO, when the guy hadnā€™t even played a game yet, is hardly relevant to how heā€™s playing NOW

And Iā€™m pretty sure WE ALL AGREE that heā€™s playing well NOW

But sure,
you feel free to hang on to what *some* posters said 2+ years ago

Thatā€™s just crazy talk though
Because, again, EVERYONE thinks Davis is playing well now- and thatā€™s the point

And you must think that what was said BEFORE HE EVEN PLAYED A GAME is somehow relevant to current events

Itā€™s not though

All Beadyā€™s comment said was that heā€™s good
The ONLY one referencing 2+ years ago is YOU dude

Alsoā€¦. Itā€™s blonde
