Jim Nill announced today that Ben Bishop has been hired as player development coordinator, and Sam Lites has been named director of organizational analysis.

That's low, lol.
They looked like complete crap against NYG.

Let's go Bills!

Tennessee has had our number the last couple years
This game could be tougher than it might appear,
especially if Henry has his typical success

What's confusing?

I like girgensons because you need a checking line with size to wear down opponents.

I like olofsson because hes a 25-30 goal scorer with an incredibly awesome sniper shot.

I really think asplund isnt wearing anyone down or scoring 25-30 goals.

Simple ☝️

Neither is Girgensons though
I like him fine, but u constantly overvalue him

Idk that that’s true anymore?
Game has changed quite a bit in the last 20years +

You don’t necessarily need to be physical to “wear down opponents”
You can also do that by controlling the puck & making them chase u around the ice
Or just by using your speed
Or with a good forcheck
Etc, etc, etc

You’re stuck in a way of thinking that is no longer all that applicable to the way hockey is played now

Physicality *can* matter, but if it had the effect u seem to think it does, then the teams that hit the most would be the best teams
Gone are the days of Philly in the 70s and the Scott Stevens led Devils of the 90s dominating the NHL

Game has changed

Hank Buddy!! You got to write a quick blog. We are about to be banished. Doesn't need much maybe a picture of Eakin and the Red Mullet Still Fly's heading. Don't even need a write up.

Can you point to a season he scored 25 - 30 goals?
He has to stay healthy to do so, that isn't his strong suit.

Asplund can dish the puck when put in that position. His 1st year in Rochester he had 35 assists in like 70 games. He's really evolved into a good Defensive player. To me he's a good 3rd LW

Asplund will get his face smashed in if we ever make the Stanley cup playoffs again.

He’s already retired basically.

So do the Sabres have to pay him still?

😀

I'm not sure if asplund game translates to the nhl physically of the playoffs.

I have worries about olofsson toughness too. Hopefully you protect him with tuch or cozens. And he scores enough to make it worth it.

This current team doesn’t have a lot of things to make it in the playoffs. Toughness is one box not checked. But it’s getting better. Discipline, defense and goaltending need a lot of work too

Exactly as the kids develop and take spots, the natural progression would be for him to push the other 4th line LW to board maintenance at Harbor Center
