You’re right. Talking about this guy gets me fired up for some reason. Might be easier to just like him for his last year and save my health!! Lol

no need to like him loll... it's almost over, just a matter of a couple of months if everything goes well

you will all get to cheer or poop on him for a few more months, take it easy, the season is starting in October.

Until then....focus on Hoffman...easier since nobody likes him.

I am hoping Drouin has a strong fall/winter so the Habs might be able to get a decent pick or prospect. Same for Dandonov, Hoffman and Byron.

and even Allen.

Absolutely! Hopefully we can salvage something decent from an unfortunate situation…..and some desperate contracts.

well to be honest you do use it at appropriate times, because it did look like something that could've escalated lol...

Couldn't he have had 27 when he signed?

I keep forgetting that guy is on the team.

At least at the time of the trade, Drouin was young and still had potential.

When Bergevin offered him that contract, Hoffman was not even a year removed from being at the Blues' training camp on a PTO.

Where are the people telling him to (frank) off and die?

I didn't think their eras here crossed.

Must have been crowded at center that season

That's the year we actually witnessed the fact that "crowded" didn't automatically mean "good"

Drouin: "I'm excited about this season and to play for Martin St-Louis"

People: "Shut the (frank) up!" "Die!"

- stinger67

Kinda reminds me of Andrei Kostitsyn.

People kept throwing stones at him because they expected him to be a star player considering his toolset and where he was drafted in 2003 (where everyone else turned amazing).

If people saw him as he was, a 25 goal/50 points dumb big forward, they'd probably have no problem with him.

I hope Drouin is healthy, posts some interesting numbers that might make him interesting for another team so we can get some future assets for him. I think he can do it.

And if by some miracle he suddently becomes that star player he was projected to become, great! It's unlikely though.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. Just that a team is interested at the deadline. He usually performs in the playoffs, that could be enticing for a team who wants to add a playmaker
