Why are we adding Centers? With Bo-Petey-Miller and D!ickeson Lazar why are we addressing the Center position? - LordHumungous
Can never have enough Centers. But maybe it’s an option if they want to play Petey on wing and stack the top 6.
Lazar and D!ckenson seem fit for fourth line. But I get it’s not a priority needing Centers over D. Though barring a trade there aren’t much D to sign.

Boudreau seemed to like D!cki at 3LC when healthy. I doubt Rutherford heads out for a 3LC until TDL when injuries really bite. Addressing the D at TDL will be the priority.

Sure but there is a lot of hockey until TDL. Now you can get Vet players at discounts. TDL is pricey.
Having more veteran depth to start the season at C helps achieve a good start. Plus maintaining in case of injury like to D!ckenson.

I know getting quite worried. With the Greenland Ice sheet gaining mass in the summer time I'm just waiting for instructions from CBC and David Suzuki on what to do next when we are lobbying against Global Cooling again like in the 70's. Whew...close call.

PTO's are good and fine but you don't want to get too crazy with them. Our top 9 looks excellent and we can round it all out from there. Focus on the shoring up the D.Plus adding a bit of sandpaper would be nice too. Anyhoo teeing off soon talk amongst yourselves will check in lata!

Indeed. PTO’s are bargain time for capable vets. Either to start in bottom role or be the extra D and C. Plus no risk if you sign for season as can easily waive or send to Abby.

Then you must be looking forward to the next stage past PTOs and roster cuts. This is where Canucks can make a deal for a twenty something RHD. Possibly with LA?

Yes, Aquilini selling the team to someone who doesn't want to flounder in mediocrity for another decade.
It’s late summer, often called the dog days, in reference to the star Canis Major (Big Dog) rising alongside our own Sun. Technically the dog days are typically late July/early August, but I think most people understand the reference.
ELC’s are entry level contracts, and they are important, especially due to the flat cap caused by a loss of revenue due to the ongoing pandemic.
MTA’s are mutually terminated contracts, where both the player and team wish to end their relationship. These are very rare, but some HB Canuck fans think every bad contract on the books will result in an MTA because “they’ve already made millions of dollars”.

Wow quite the in depth sentence with that explanation. I am still lost but thanks for trying.
