He has never hit 65 points. Last year he got 52..... 65 is a career year.

Pace over 82 Games he should be there.

I don't think Benning will be returning to the NHL anytime soon, not by choice.
- VanHockeyGuy

He'll be back in the NHL once the fruits of his drafting really start to show here. Which won't be long. Or he'll be in a new band peddling 4th liners:

Hasn't scored at that pace yet to date. Last year it was 0.74p/G Takes 0.79p/G to hit 65.

Do you sign a player with 8 years experience in the NHL on potential for a career year?

Canucks just put this out this morning, really hope Podz carves out a good career, he seems like a nice guy.

Landeskog has outscored Bo 0.77 to 0.63 P/Game. He actually plays physical. And his best season is 75 points in 73 games. Bo's is 61 points in 82 games. Big difference there... again 6.5 is probably an overpayment especially on 8 years.

Zero reason for Bo to accept anything less than what Pouty makes.
- Reubenkincade

Not really a huge Fan of the soft style of EP.... but he has outscored Bo's Career year, every year of his career, in less games. They are paying EP on potential, something Bo has likely already shown, where EP could still achieve higher being younger.

Salary CAP. Better have high hopes of it rising fast if you compare to inflation.

He may end up in EDM if Holland doesn't get results soon.

He’s a strong player now he’s got to show he can put up the points to be a top 6 guy.

Seems no one is that interested in signing the greatest 4th liner ever, as Tyler Motte still can't seem to find any takers, for his services.

If he wants to retire a canucks.... 8 years 5.875M (more than nuge, less than landy) or go 5 years X 6.5

Conference finals last season is a damn good start and PO's two seasons in a row. Been a long time coming in Edm but good things are finally happening. As it will in Van.

Personally I hope for somewhere between Nuge and Schenn. 5.875 sounds ok... although will be a lot for a 3rd line Center the last 2-3 yrs.

Sorry, that was a poke at Golfsey…

But I think Horvat and Landeskog are closer comparables than you do, given that Horvat plays a premium position. That and the deal Kadri just signed, being 4 years older than Horvat says to me it will be somewhere around 7x7.

What is the benefit of De Haan over DeKeyser at this point? Both careers winding down these are 7th slot fill ins now. Scraps are pretty much the same.

A quick shot of Allvin tossing the scraps out of the junkyard

- LordHumungous

Cause De Haan can still play and hold down a 2nd pair role, DeKeyser is done and couldn't stay healthy in his best years.
