The Flyers PP was historically bad last year. Came in with a few goals of recording a franchise low in PP goals for a season. Routinely failing to establish attack time and to get pucks to the net. JVR scored 9 PP goals last season. Equal to or better than players such as Troy Terry, JT Miller, Nazem Kadri, Pavel Buchnevich, Jake Guentzel, Brad Marchand and Mitch Marner. JVR certainly has his faults as a player but he can still score. Both at ES and on the PP. If he can stay healthy and have a decent year. There will be some interest in him at the deadline.
Uninformed people think he is soft. He's not. He's not an aggressive physical player but he is not soft. You don't score goals or make plays at the level JVR has or Jake Voracek has in his career by being soft. - MJL
yeah just need the season to start, people are running out of things to say

Why are people debating about JVR's value? Seriously, you aren't getting more than a 3rd round pick most likely. I'd be stunned if they get anything better than that. The league knows how soft he is. This is part of the problems with the Flyers. Their big bodied guys are all as soft as Charmain toilet paper. Jakey was soft and JVR is extra soft. Then you add Hayes to the mix and you get the soft as a baby's bottom triplets. JVR and Hayes should have never been signed here. Thankfully JVR's time is almost up here. Now what to do with Hayes? I dunno... FIRE CHUCK! Thanks! - Phillywhiteout
Boychuk didn't find him so soft.

You don't win with players like Voracek and JVR cause they are indeed passive/soft players. A for instance. When JVR played for Babcock on Toronto his regular season ice time was 17 minutes, but during the playoffs his ice dropped to 14 minutes. Yeah, JVR picks his spots to get to the net for tips and such, but he is by no means hard to play against. Same with Jake. These guys are powder puffs in reality. They both have talent, but could be so much more if they weren't blooming daisies. FIRE CHUCK! Thanks! |

Toronto has been racking up the playoff wins ever since they dumped JVR. |

https://youtu.be/dub9ZwaR0gU - Feanor Oh boy!! That was probably his biggest hit in his entire career!! And that was basically a defensive hit that he saw coming and reacted to. Big whoop! What else ya got? I watched the guy play for 10 years. Thanks again!

Patrick Kane won three Cups purely on his toughness, but unfortunately the Flyers missed out on drafting a real tough guy like him. |

Bringing Kane into it is just stupid. I was talking about BIG soft Flyers players. Kane is small and shifty, and a world class talent. There is no comparison between the two. We are talking about big guys that are soft. This shows you lack basic comprehension, but there is a lot of that on here. Not saying that all guys need to be tough, but again you missed the boat here. Good day! Thanks! |

Many seem to think it will be easy to trade JVR at the deadline. Maybe it will be. How many other JVR types or other offense players will also be available?
We all saw what his value was this summer and that was after putting up 20+ plus goals. Do not see him being in any kind of demand. |

I think there is a lot of lineup possibilities. One being a line with…
JVR - Frost - Farabee
I thought JVR played well with Farabee on the RW. It works with Coots also. Maybe Tippett ends up playing LW on a different line. Who knows. - NC Flyers Fan
No offense but I dont want JVR anywhere near Frost. JVR routinely takes multiple shifts off per game and his intensity cant be depended on from shift to shift...let alone game to game. It's a shame because if he had that, he'd be a much better player.
IMO Frost challenges have been playing with pace and winning puck battles...I think keeping him with higher intensity players helps him reinforce those attributes. Until they are completely sunk in and habit, i hope they keep him with the Cates, Allison and Tippet types. |

You may be right. The better choice for the idea then would be: JVR - Coots - Farabee.
Although Frost and TK could end up on the same line. Think they have been before.

I compiled a short list of things things you appear to be oddly obsessed with. I suggest giving this to your therapist on your next visit:
Big guys who are (allegedly) soft
Baby bottoms
Using "gay" as a slur
Saying goodbye when you aren't actually leaving |

For me, it was the use of the word vamoose that sent me over the top. It's almost as bad as the word moist. |

Was it his ES ice time per game or PP ice time per game that dropped? Voracek is top 5 in Flyers franchise history in assists and top 10 all time in points. It is impossible to score at that level if you're a soft passive player.

You could watch a player play for a 100 years and it wouldn't matter.

Saying goodbye when you aren't actually leaving - Feanor I guess I can add you to the TURD list on here. Let's see how wrong you can be? Yes, I have been chatting about soft big players cause that has been a major problem for years for the Flyers. Baby bottoms? How many times have I referenced baby bottoms on here? I'll wait. Using "gay" as a slur? Again, how many times have I done that? I'll wait some more. And last but not least Saying goodbye when I'm not actually leaving. I said goodbye this morning and I left. Are you really this phucking dumb or is it an act? I won't wait cause I think I know the answer to this one. Bozo!
