Based on last year stats that would put dollhead in the Top 8 for defenseman. Guess that would fit the bill. Man defenseman score these days!!

My memory is not the best but i can remember last year we were in quite the funk when Girg was out hurt. He came back and the team really started playing well. Thought that Girg with his non stop motor really got the kids moving.

But unfortunately by the end of the year he really disappeared. Think it just might be time for a change of scenery. Agree with you we need to replace that “toughness” and motor. Think Peterka can be that guy in the bottom 6.

Golf season switching to the best fishing season. Also bills games and soon to be Sabres games. Yea life is good Amigo

I respect your opinion.

If peterka is really a bowling ball on skates, he should eventually replace girgensons at 4lw.
Fortunately girgensons has the high skill level to play multiple forward positions, and could slide to 4C

The year the Sabres sorely missed girgensons, they came in dead last without his leadership.

Everyone's also talking about 5 x 5 and even strength goals. Somehow girgensons never gets the benefit of the doubt in those regards.

71 carrier goals and only 10 on the pp.

If I'm donnie the center whisperer, I keep girgs at center and talk sweet nothings in his ear.
Book him for double digit even strength goals, 20-25 points, penalty kill, added leadership .

They should clone him

Cause he doesn't play on the PP.... he should never be on the PP.. never ever.

You want 2D on the PP, and it's Samuelsson?
- Lunaion

Yes

I'm taking the conservative approach, using 2 defenseman on the pp

Dahlin is basically a forward, samuelsson has under appreciated scoring abilities and would keep the pairing continuity.

Samuelsson is gonna get 25+ minutes this year , some on the pp ☝️

Be surprised to see Krebs and Tage on the same PP, they both like to set up on the same half wall. Be it for different reasons.

Dahiln samuelsson

You're talking about restructuring the PP then. 2 guys on the blueline changes the entire setup...for someone who hasn't shown an ounce of PP aptitude.

I'd like a 2nd D on the PP, but it's Power in the right slot. An overwhelming talent in his most comfortable spot.

I'm not talking about using a ball instead of a puck, like you're making it sound.

Restructure the pp 🙄

I have the top 3 offensive forwards playing their natural positions. Tuch and tage (2 giants ) around the net. He's our 1C. Tuch can play the "sam" position to left of the net/ side of net. Olo sniperville right face off dot.

Dahlin is going to move around, and samuelsson can cover for him.

No skinner. He's the even strength goal scorer historically.

You say you're not restructuring, then you outline a complete restructuring.

Think we started running this PP under Disco Dan. It's not changing.

Are you setting up overload or umbrella? Natural positions change when you have a man advantage and a systematic game plan.

Also how do you break out? Are you sticking with the horrible drop pass?

tage, skinner, olofsson and okposo are the goal scorers

so I expect 2 on each unit

krebs and cozens seem more playmakers so 1 on ea pp

tuch is well rounded so he probably gets 1st team pp

I have no clue 4 plus years later what casey is

pp1

Not what I'd like, but my prediction. He'll keep Skinner happy, underutilize Power, and keep some balance between the units.

I don't think they'll do that unless Mittelstadt is playing very badly, as it is a monster year for the team to know what they have in him long term, which means they'll give him every chance this season.

You say we started running this pp under disco dan.

Do the coaches leave a handbook in the desk when are fired?

You're talking in Big Circles. No actual layout or players, just obtuseness

Dahlin breaks out the pp1 uses some of our talent and size to obtain the blue line. Bully their way in.

Power skating the puck up like big bird on grinder.
I got dump and chase , okposo hockey. That's why he's on my pp2.

Eichel and the drop pass are in Vegas.

Most teams run the same basic PP setup these days. Same setup and I gave my player expectations. Not sure what you see as circular. I'm not expecting any significant change.

Basically
Quinn with little nhl experience over olo
Skinner as a 4th forward instead of samuelsson

Basically the same pp2 unit, but olofsson
