#Blackhawks lines and pairings ahead of tonight's prospect showcase:
Dach-Reichel-Hayes
Slavin-Guttman-Serpa
Barratt-Busdeker-Pour
Savoie-Ludwinski-Teply
Korchinski-Vlasic
Allan-Crevier
Phillips-Galvas
Roos-Del Mastro
*McKay rotating in and out of second line - LAHawk
A lot of centers in the lineup playing wing. Hayes on L1, Slavin on L2 (have a feeling the smart, two way, good sized Slavin will endear himself to Richardson), Barratt on L3..... Interesting Richardson has Vlasic with offensive rookie Korchinski. .... Looking forward to seeing Allan's progress after having been drafted 2 yrs ago. Phillips too, kid is a fine athlete, big and can really skate.. Del Mastro looks good every time I've seen him. He had a fine WJC a few weeks back with Canada. Smart, keep it simple, good size and can skate..... First look at Roos. |

From what I read Roos is opening eyes in camp. His pro experience in Sweden shows in how calm he is looking.
Also read Guttman has shown well so far. |

Dear Nils Lundkvist:
At 5' 10" 188, unless you are Adam Fox, I am not sure you get an instant starter's slot no matter where your traded demand takes you. |

Dougie Jarrett could share # 20 will Al Secord too. - wiz1901
The rest of the league could retire Saad's number 20, after all the times the Hawks lost trades involving him. Maybe there are more to come before he calls it a career. |

I remember Guttman playing USHL with a cornerstone franchise in Dubuque. Looking him up didn't realize he had some sniffs from the NTDP. .... Smallish, speedy, responsible/two way kid. Four full yrs with a very good NCAA Denver team. https://www.eliteprospect...layer/201449/cole-guttman
Looking forward to tonight and Sunday...... FYI, Rinzel got into a fight in a USHL preseason game this week. Chippy game and he was involved in a lot of it.

A late answer YES to your question on if Rossi was playing for Minn y against Baby hawks.
It will be nice t5o see three defenders still developing to the Wild in Carson Lambos, Daemon Hunt, and Ryan O'Rourke.
Besides Rossi, forward Adam Beckman is close to a NHL spot when one opens too.

Kid's skill impresses each time I see him. 1st rd pick, right shot, 22 yrs old. Gonna be interesting to see where he ends up and how he develops. ....... Wonder why BOS isn't sniffing around Lundqvist with McAvoy out for the first couple months and IIRC Gryzlck is out too. |

Wiz, yrs ago I was at a Steel tryout camp and this kid just kept making plays on defense. Looked at the roster and he was 14 yrs old!! 14!. Had to be a misprint. Between periods was out for a smoke and a scout was out there. Asked him that kid really 14? He said you caught that? Yep, he's 14 we brought him down from Canada to get a look at him even though he couldn't be drafted until he's 16.
It was Ryan O'Rourke. Made the cutdown to the allstar game vs 17-18-20 yr olds from all over the world. ....... Never forgot his name.

Didn't Del Maestro leap over Lambos playing for Canada at the worlds this year? Hunt got hurt and was the reason why Del Maestro was a late add to the roster. |

I think you're right, LA. Nice catch.......... Very impressive Del Meastro coming to Team CAN late due to injury, getting in a game, playing in the 1st pairing for a game or two, 2nd pairing afterwards, playing PK and never taken out of the lineup.
Impressive.

Going to be interesting to see how KD and the organization take to "Stan's and Kelley's guy's". I could see for guys like Barratt, Tepley, C. Dach if they feel like they have been traded to a new organization and are starting from square one (or with a clean slate)

I ah, cannot let the tourney change me that Lambos has a lot of untapped offensive and is a tougher guy as DelMaestro.
Where is this game I cannot find it.

My only thought after tonight's contest was the Blackhawks a really lot of defenseman prospects with size and decent feet and game.
They all, including the big new impressive Swedish kid #48 Roos, are on this plateau where they can excel and grow into more than average pro hockey players but are ALL just NOT at any points in their development where the seem "destined."
It really would be nice if the Hawks could eventually harvest 7 good ones who have long careers. |

Hopefully KD keeps the right ones, and moves the others for young offense, young offense not named Nylander that is. I really like Mitchell and Vlasic, hope they stay Hawks property. |
