I’ve been trying to figure out exactly what bothers me about this particular blog and how to articulate it. I guess the best I can do is that I’m embarrassed as a fan of the sport that there are so many hockey fans that think they are fashion show judges and the players are runway models. I guess I did miss the point. If I’m a Canadians fan right now though I’d be more worried about my how my teams play and recent success or lack there of in championship represents my storied franchise. If I’m the molsons I’m quite satisfied that I not only made some bucks but also apparently easily diverted my fan bases attention. It was easy to throw Arizona under the bus but how many more championships does Montreal have in the past 25 years than they do?

I’m genuinely interested in your honest response to this question…. If Montreal has had more recent tangible success, would this patch be more, same, or less of a concern to the fan base?

I don't know what exactly you don't understand, this has nothing to do with performance. for me (and a lot of other people) the habs jersey has an historical and cultural significance, and I find it's sad that they've started to put ads on it. you don't have to agree but it isn't very complicated.

I guess I don’t understand why if it’s so deeply personal for you the ads would matter one way or another.

Maybe if it’s the product being tied to the logo? Is it a problem with rbc itself?
