About the same as last year. Maybe better better, maybe worse. Could have a bunch of career years or a couple crippling injuries. Who knows?

Wow good on the Oil for not putting ads on their jerseys but I see the Habs sold out to RBC. The most storied franchise in NHL history with ads on the jersey well done MTL...

A week away from being fired gets a free Kane falling in his lap. Great work he did.

Everyone sounds smart when they come up with scenarios that aren’t happening anyway, because they can’t be proven wrong.
And if the team does well it was luck , if they falter it’s a “ told you so”.
What’s the point? Watch and see what happens, enjoy it, hate it, or in my case, don’t give a (frank) either way as it does zero to impact the quality of my life.

Flames and other clubs had every chance to sign Kane. But too many were too focused on the stigma around him. Good for the Oil.

Maybe he’s finally grown up, he’s got his 4 year deal now so let’s see how it plays out. If there’s no distraction it could be one of the Dinosaur’s better signings in a long time.

My take as a former goalie and goalie coach and avid Leafs fan.
Campbell's physical tools are above average for an NHL goalie. Great lateral movement, fights through screens well, good rebound control, just OK puck handling.
The issue with him is between the ears. He can lose confidence quickly and let bad goals get to him.
Wheras Curtis Joesph never let in a bad goal ever ( according to him) , Campbell blames himself first and lets doubt creep in.
So if the Oilers have a good team psychologist, you have yourselves a decent number 1 goalie.

If they make the cup final in the next 2-4 years and all signs point that they will the Kane deal just won't matter.

I'm at that point with hockey now as well. I was a lot more into it growing up, but I just want to be a casual fan at this point. I cared enough to watch most of their playoff games but didn't care enough when they got eliminated.

Oilers sign Demers to a PTO. Considering Brett Ritchie. Have dropped put of the Virtanen sweeps.

Wow. If Demers makes the team then the D is really worse than I thought.

Meh. If that means that the team might have a landing spot for Barrie, and a third pairing RD spot opening up for Demers, the team would be better off for it (cap wise, anyway). Would rather have someone like Stralman fill that position, but can't hurt to look at Demers on a PTO though.

Yeah me too. I went to game 3 against the Avs….it was a pretty sad game but I didn’t care that much knowing it was close to being over.

I was happy with them just beating Calgary tbh. Never thought they had a chance against Colorado, even if a few of the games were "close".

Enjoyable to watch, but not the end of the world that they were swept.

Where did I say he was an upgrade ? Where did I say he was the final piece ?

You seem a little sexually frustrated that you no longer get to admire the grace and skill of Johnny Hockey. You need to get over it, he's in Columbus now.

One time my friend had a birthday... I was around 8 or 9 at the time, and there were a tonne of moms there who were in their 30s. I have no idea what was happening, but they all ran towards the fridge and started eating ice cubes. I later found out that eating ice cubes is a sign of sexual frustration. If their husbands had a product or two from Reveen and Laugh's Fleshlight Company to get them going, perhaps they wouldn't have needed those ice cubes. Something to ponder... Marketing team, please take note.

Listen here you little Leaf blowing Zorches, even if Campbell sh1ts the bed, we still have Skinner AKA Starship, who will undoubtedly dominate like no other since Hasek.

The Oilers are holding out for a good "Reveen and Laugh's Fleshlight Company" logo to slap on their jerseys.

I'm on board. Far too long have them female doges been killing the earth with their excessive ice cube consumption.
