Larry Brooks:
Nils Lundqvist to Dallas for top-10 protected 2023 first rounder. Confirmed. If it’s top 10 pick rolls over to 2024 without restriction. Could be another component coming to NYR.

Not bad at all. A long time to wait for that pick to contribute but great asset management by Drury to keep the cupboard stocked. Still think Nils could be a great player but no spot for him here, best of luck.

Conditional 4th terms per NHL.com:

New York will receive a third-round pick in 2025 instead of Dallas' fourth-round selection if Lundkvist has 55 points over the next two seasons.
