You mean the Giordano that won the Norris trophy at age 35? The guy that scored 74 points and was plus 39? The guy that wants to play for the Leafs badly? That Giordano? Sandin at $1.2 to $1.4 x 2 is interesting. Anything more is an overpay.

He should be gone, regardless. Every d-man we got is better than he is. It shouldn't matter that we'd have 5-1 Lefty to Righty. Play your best players and Holl isn't one of them.

If a Chychrun trade with the Yotes actually somehow happens, I'd have no problem sending Sandin the other way, even though I'd rather not trade him. Send Holl with him, too.

I agree that the Left/Right d-man setup is a bit overrated. Still want more than Liljegren on the RHS. And I don't dislike Holl as much as you, but I believe he's the worst player on the team.

Nils Lundqvist to Dallas for top-10 protected 2023 first rounder. Confirmed. If it’s top 10 pick rolls over to 2024 without restriction. Could be another component coming to NYR.

My offer was Nils for Sandin and a 3rd. That should value Sandin ~ like a 2nd I guess

I agree that having more Right handed d-men would be optimal, but I fully disagree with forcing it to shoehorn a guy into the lineup that actively makes the team on the ice worse. Which is exactly what happens if Holl is dressed.

I've always thought that letting players ripen in Euro leagues is a decent way to go. Especially goalies. you can draft them, you keep them a couple of years before they can go back in the draft (you don't have that NCAA rule that they become instant FAs). so they're not taking up a contract spot towards the limits. The're playing with men. Etc.

I wish they'd "store" more players out there.

I think Zona would want Lili, one of our top prospect forwards a 1st or a 2nd and then money going back - Holl or Kerfoot. I've Im Zona, Im taking Kerfoot. Flip him at the TDL.
