I think Van/Cal/Edm/Veg all got better, just depends by how much and relative to each other.

Calgary - smurf and rotten apple out upgraded D. Maybe they score a few less goals but they’ll be fine

Edmonton - worst goaltending duo in the history of the league out, decent starter in, though still question marks about him long term. Will score plenty of goals

Vegas - still solid top 3(+) D, question in goal, but could be ok, still solid forward group, upgrade coach.

Vancouver - best top 9 in the league, Quinn Hughes, Demko, full year of Brucey

LA also, but I think they take a step back this year and two forward next year.

Ah, yes, the guy with 20 games of experience, who has in those 20 games worse numbers than Lehner in Vegas, is better than Lehner. Right.

Patches had more goals (19 to 8) and had a +32 +/- differential while scoring 15 less points. Go Kessel.

Calgary got better imho. Might take a bit to gel, but there's a team with maturing D and then add Weegar. Johnny hockey suddenly got like 20 pts more than he ever has in a contract year so yeah ... he's one of those guys. Tkatchuk is a guy you go to war with, as much as folks (especially here) might hate him. I still think they came out quite a bit ahead with Huberdeau and Kadri.

Canucks young core gains a year of experience while we replace chaisson and other scraps with The Russians and some skating and grit on the 4th line. Not to mention a better coach and back up goalie. GTFO Vegas chump
